This little gem is equidistant between us and some good friends from Sheffield so we always come here for our catch ups. We met up yesterday and had another fabulous meal. The spicy parsnip soup was delicious, as was my salmon on a bed of rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There is a lovely ambience in the Rising Moon and the team are great. Always good service and they are attentive but not intrusive. I would really recommend you try the Rising Moon, you'll definitely enjoy it!!

Lovely pub, clean & beautiful surroundings. Ellie our waitresses was lovely & couldn't do anymore for us. Food was great apart from the beef in beef stroganoff was a little over cooked. Would definitely return

Very good overall - interior looks great, staff very friendly, and food was fresh and tasted amazing. Only thing I’d say is; I had some duck spring rolls to start at a cost of £6.95 - whilst they tasted nice, it was only 4 tiny rolls, would like to see more of them for the price

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent lunch at the Rising Moon. Bitterly cold outside but received a very warm welcome which was obviously a busy day for the two waiting staff. Lamb Henry was delicious, nice chunk of lamb and lovely mint gravy. Our party also had the Hunters Chicken and Fish and Chips, again these were said to be very good. The service was a little slow but didn’t bother us, it was busy and as I said only two waiting on who did a good job. Would definitely recommend the Rising Moon and will definitely be going back.

Chefs chicken curry and pork stir fry excellent can't fault it and robinsons beer excellent too. Staff very friendly and would definitely go again soon

A friend and I come to the rising moon every 2 weeks or so for lunch and a chat this week my friend was very dissatisfied with her lunch she had the sticky pork and it had a lot of bones init she did complain and was given a new meal but the second one was not much better and as I hope u can imagine it did put her off her meal and by the time her second meal came I had nearly finished mine so overall we were not too happy this week . As I travel from the Fylde coast to get together this spoiled it for us .

Booked a table for my birthday with the family. Had a lovely meal, and very attentive staff members.

The food was as good as it always is. The service was extremely poor however. We were celebrating a birthday and spoilt by the fact that when I asked the waitress to take away two cocktails which didn’t taste good she didn’t handle it courteously. She was quite confrontational. I also had to ask three different waitresses for the dessert menu and had to wait 45 minutes for it. If my grandkids hadn’t been with me we wouldn’t have waited. First time I haven’t left a tip. Not sure we’ll go back again now. Such a shame. Especially as we were going to book a festive meal

Booked a Sunday Lunch. The pub and dining area are lovely. The staff are spot on, friendly and efficient. The beef was too chewy for me and the roast potatoes very dry. We think both the roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings were from frozen. However, there were generous portions on the plate, the veg and potatoes were very tasty. Based upon my first visit I'd try other places before booking from the Christmas menu.
