Four of us enjoyed a lovely evening on Sat 5 Nov. Great food- as always- I can recommend the rag pudding! My grandson can also recommend the chocolate brownie- he scraped the plate clean! We can't wait to go again.

I booked Sunday lunch for my mother and I, it didn’t disappoint, lovely Roast Lamb Lunches.

Booked a table for 9 people for a family meal on a Saturday lunchtime. A few of us were stuck in traffic and arrived late but this wasn't a problem. The food was really good; the squid starter was lovelyand spicy. We all got massive portions; my sisters cheese pie was huge (and really good- I stoke a bit). The Rag pudding was top notch. We will definitely go again. The only thing was that the music was interfering with conversation on the long table, maybe an area of the pub without speakers could be considered, especially for customers who might have hearing difficulties.

Hi, I just wanted to write to thank the staff for their service and also to compliment the chef and the kitchen for the quality of food we received recently. As a table of 8 people varying from 92 to 4 years old most of us had something different to eat and everything was most enjoyable. For anyone wanting traditonal food with good portions then you can't go wrong! We will definitely be back. Nick

Everything was OK apart from not clearing the tables

Went in at lunchtime for lunch staff are very friendly so you can't fault that. We both had chefs chicken curry which was excellent. Would definitely will be going again soon. It would also be nice if they did homemade chips instead of frozen chips.

Been to the Rising Moon a number of times and the food and service is consistently excellent. The food is very good and the service is quick and friendly. The place is spotless. Very happy we have found this place!

Just been for the second time in a week, the braised steak was just that good! Lovely venue, excellent staff who are very attentive and best of all fantastic food. My only issue is that I have a hearing disability and struggle in loud rooms, really need to ask for a corner table next time but that is my fault not theirs.

Food is always good and piping hot. Was disappointed to be kept waiting just to order dessert and then our bill arrived with half of somebody else's bill!

Food was delicious, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Very disappointed to be asked at 9.30 if we wanted another drink as last orders was at 10 and they closed at 10.30.

First visit and it was lovely. Food was gorgeous and the staff were really nice. Will definitely be going back.

Been to the rising moon a few times now, and each time the food has been excellent. With a lovely team and very friendly staff. A lovely pace in beautiful setting and scenery.

Always enjoy the food here but unfortunately the duck spring rolls seem to have halved in size. At nearly £7 a portion they were very overpriced. The service was good and everything else was great.

Beautiful pub. Great atmosphere. Our 1st time there and wasn't disappointed. Food was amazing.

The best Pub food I’ve had !! Since the recent (no so) change of ownership- not only had the atmosphere greatly improved, but the food is now excellent ! Pizza outdoors a few weeks back, the burger last week- and the Steak and Ale pie yesterday (which was incredible). But, the best of all are the BBQ Wings ! Service is also excellent, and all the staff seem to be having fun and enjoying themselves whilst they do it - which I’m sure helps. Great vibe from the management which seems to have trickled down to all !
