The Rising Moon – HydeThis is a beautiful pub located in an amazing setting. We really enjoyed our visit here, the staff are excellent (a big thank you to our waiter Adam) and the food is amazing. A huge shout out to the chef who produced one of the best steaks I've ever had. We will definitely be visiting again.
The Rising Moon – HydeWent for a midweek treat. Salt and pepper chicken wings are the best I have ever had. Better than any Chinese. Rag pudding was great. Food and service was great. Only issue was people who had finished their meal letting their screaming kids rum amock. We have 6 grandchildren but wanted a nice hour out, not the pubs fault just selfish entitled people who don't care about anyone else. Great pub and food.
The Rising Moon – HydeLovely food, decent prices, good sized portions. Shame that there is no facility to add a tip when paying by card, I don’t carry cash or expect to need to these days. Shame for the staff as this will cost them.

The Rising Moon – HydeGreat experience for our large group booking. Service was amazing and the food was delicious all round. The portions were very generous We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe were very impressed with the food and the amount of choice. It was a lovely atmosphere and the young waiters and waitresses were very informative, helpful and friendly. A beautiful, clean and comfortable restaurant.
The Rising Moon – HydeEverything was just ok. It’s a beautiful pub and promises so much but just leaves you disappointed. We booked for Boxing Day as they have been advertising a quiz. They took a £40 deposit. We had our meal and then was told the quiz had been cancelled. Disappointing. No Guacamole or Salsa with the Fajitas? Disappointing. Bill came, no sign of £40 being taken off. What if I hadn’t noticed? I just get ripped off for £40? Had you not been automatically taking the deposit off bills all day?? You have got to be better than that! Disappointing. It kinda felt like the staff didn’t want to be there and they’d left the kids in charge. This could be an amazing pub.
The Rising Moon – HydeFood good but service was very poor
The Rising Moon – HydeA party of 4 of us went on 20th Dec and had pre booked the festive menu. The starters were really good. The main meal consisted of 3 turkey dinners and a sirloin steak. The turkey was plentiful with mash, roast potatoes, sprouts, parsnips and pigs in blankets. Unfortunately the parsnips were burnt and the 3 of us having the dinner all thought the gravy was overwhelmingly strong. Definitely wasn’t turkey gravy. The steak whilst cooked exactly as requested was lacklustre, placed on a plate of chips with a pot of sauce. No garnish to finish it off. The staff were lovely and attentive.
The Rising Moon – HydeExcellent food and service as always .
The Rising Moon – HydeBrilliant food, always enjoy when we come here
The Rising Moon – HydeGreat menu choices, food, service, staff and atmosphere. The only complaint was the draft from the door every time someone came in as we were directly opposite the entrance and my mum is 85 so really feels the cold. We didn’t ask to move as it was very busy with people being turned away as it was Christmas time. We will definitely be back, we’ll just sit somewhere else next time.
The Rising Moon – Hyde19/12/23 With my bestie Carmel for lunch. Had Steak, mushroom & cheese hot sandwich. Very tasty, lots of filling, lovely and hot. Great atmosphere, staff and service as always 5 stars off us. See u again soon. Thankyou
The Rising Moon – HydeLovely meal , food cooked to my liking and instructions. Great service . Ambience of the establishment was lovely . Well worth a visit
The Rising Moon – HydeOur family of 5 recently had Sunday lunch at The Rising Moon on the 17/12/23, with some opting for the beef dinner and others chicken. This was our second visit within the space of 6 weeks. What can I say besides the fact we were not disappointed on this latest visit, with all of our meals served hot and really scrumptious! The beef was lovely and tender and so was the chicken, lovely mashed and fluffy roast potatoes and vegetables cooked to perfection. The gravy was delicious too! We could not fault anything, from the table and bar service, the food and that the meals are exceptionally good value for money. I have eaten quite a few Sunday lunches in local eateries within Greater Manchester and can say without a doubt that the lunches served at The Rising Moon are the best, I am more than happy to submit this review and will definitely be going again soon.
The Rising Moon – HydeOn arrival, the table wasn't ready for the time we'd booked. There was still food on the floor under the table from the previous customers. Service was very slow , we had to remind or ask about the status for food and drinks at the bar 3 times. The last round was completely forgotten and the obligatory £30 deposit was not automatically deducted from the final bill. The food was ok though. (Only ok, not amazing)
