Truely disgusted at the Pippins poor customer service, hubby's birthday yesterday and he had a message to his iPhone saying get a free drink we went to claim it but because we couldn't print off they wouldn't redeem. Really in this day and age, if they need a paper copy send it through the pos,t not everyone has a printer.. Needless to say we went elsewhere ..

It's a friendly warm place to chill on a cold winters day. The menu suits all ages and the prices are very wallet friendly.

The food from this restaurant is excellent along with the takeaway service provided. I use this service many times and cannot fault the food

The worst fried eggs I have ever seen let alone tried to eat.

I've recently had 2 evenings at this pub and found the staff and "boss" to be most warming and nice. Even to the point of letting me raid the jukebox, with my tunes, no questions asked just a giggle. top pub xx

Excellent service ,makes you feel you are wanted and valued. Food well cooked ,and very tasty. Pleasant surourndings and cosy. Very busy on Saturdays...best to book in advance.

Wild West? Hmmm more "True Sh!t" than "true grit". So good we went to tesco instead. Avoid at all costs.

Used to live next door to the long hop pub and had a Sunday lunch every Sunday! A superb meal, not only is the price great but the service is just the best I've seen in Sittingbourne!

The manager tony butcher is a perverted man who tries it on with any Tom Dick or Harry!! His ars smells of old mature cheddar.

I come here occasionally with friends and family, i am so pleased! The staff is so lovely and friendly. The menu is so good, they also do extra things for you if you ask. For example, you can create your own naan with different things. They always give complimantery drinks at the end and they give you a rose at the end of your dinner. It is more than food. It is such a good experience.The price is normal, not so cheap but not so expensive, decent prices.Highly recommended!

As long time exponents of indian food, and having lived in the country, and having tried all indian restaurants in the spelt borne area......this is easily the worst food. If you cherish authentic indian food, avoid this place

We make a point of eating here every week! The food is exemplary! Everything we have tried has been tasty, and presented to a high standard. The service is fantastic and all the staff are extremely friendly. Everyone should give this restaurant a try!

Where did the name come from?

I have recently discovered this great traditional local. The landlord and lady always give a warm welcome and the totally gorgeous Petra looks after regulars and new faces with applomb. The real ales are kept in top notch condition and ones pint is always topped up after settling. There is live music most Saturday evenings. Definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of good old fashioned boozers!

We stopped for just a drink and snack at Bluewater. Staff were very good and found us a lovely table. Service and products were excellent. Friends have recommended this restaurant to us on several occasions. We will definitely eat here again soon.

I visited the Star in Gillingham 2.08.2013 and found it was under new management. I found the new faces on the bar were very friendly and cheerful. Even though it was a very busy afternoon I was served quickly and got our food in a decent time. The food was good pub grub and great value. I will come back with my children as the play area was clean and tidy and the garden was great. I will also recommend this pub to friends and family. Well done new manager and new staff
