Visited this pub restaurant last week of October 2009 as they were running a 2 for the price of 1 offer with their carvery and had pre-booked a table for a set time. We arrived in good time but the booking could not be found when I pointed our name out to the Landlord ? he pointed to a room in another bar and said your table is in there ! Our table had cutlery missing when we asked the waitress about drinks we were told to get them in the other bar (which we did) we then asked about food and were told we would be called when we could go up. Some 20 minutes later we had still not been called and so went up to the food counter off our back. When asking for for more Yorkshire we were told that these were limited to one per person ? they had run out of peas and also some of the meat sauces - other diners who came in after us got no yorkshire pudding or peas either !! The service was appalling and the staff were unfriendly and the food was average IT MAY HAVE BEEN CHEAP BUR IT WAS NOT CHEERFUL My Recommendation DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE

I would highly recommend Pinnochios Italian restaurant in Canterbury. It is so rare, in this world of chain restaurants to find a proper authentic restaurant where food is cooked fresh to order. The surroundings are relaxing and its like being in a friends Italian house but only in Canterbury ! The owner is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Food is divine.................

Having spent a number of years in Thailand, Montien has to be the most un-authentic Thai restaurant I have ever eaten in. For some reason the owners appear to have forgotten the one thing that Thai food guarantees and that is either spice or taste. It is the most appalling restaurant.

I really enjoyed my visit to Chiquito restaurant in Broadstairs, the atmosphere, staff and food were very very good and I will definitely be going again!!

Amazing food & really attentive service. Good value when we went on a Sunday lunch but I think the dinner menu is more expensive. Will be going back to find out.

Fantastic pub. Great food and the Sunday roast is excellent. Really good value for money. I have eaten in over 100 pubs in Kent and this pub is in the top group of one

Excellent, friendly and efficient service. I have had a meal here many times and couldn't recommend it enough.

So far off the beaten track -only one road in and out- that the establishment cannot fail to deliver the goods. If it does? Well with no passing trade, a potholed road and suicidal game dashing in front of your vehicle, it would go down. Well I don't believe that it will. The game is locally shot and the beef comes from their own farm - combined with well cooked generous portions at outrageously reasonable prices it's worth driving to the edge of the world for' I have and I'll do it again.

With a party of five I had great hopes of some tasty American food. To get to the point I was looking forward to some real American Pancakes. We phoned up to find out if they were proper American pancakes we were told there were and "home made" at that. The food was so poor I took 2 bites couldn't it the floppy rubbery food. In fact everything we ordered bar the microwaved brownies were poor. The fries we're ok. Milkshake and hot chocolate were ok also. No one asked if anything was ok with the food. We all saw kitchen staff fluffing their hair and taking of caps of and re-positioning hair. After asking to speak to the manager the manager promptly left the room. They over charged us on the bill for some items, didn't charge for other items which we did correct. We made order for drinks that never came. Anyway, you get the picture. Worse than all of that, I'd say the food was very english and not American at all.

Poor food and poor service. Clearly all brought in by a" ready made" company. A real disappointment.

Always a friendly welcome, and great food! Pizza's here are really Yum! Child friendly and lovely sitting in the glass roofed area. Good value for money, away from the madding crowd just enough to be back in the middle of Canterbury in 2 mins.

Lovely town centre pub, huge garden and great choice of wine. Cask condition beers, well kept, really good food. Looks a little place from the front that opens up to a big pub, all beams and floor boards, but bright and fresh.

What a great little gem of a pub. i had never been there before but i had a genuine friendly welcome from the rather attractive landlady called Vanessa [i blushed] It has a great cosy feel to the pub and the food and drink [they do a tapas menu] were great. Despite getting ready for a music evening the staff still found time to be friendly and the live band [a crazy jazz combo but good fun] turned a quiet night out into quite something. i am new to deal but have found my local!

Great little Italian Restaurant - good food choices, homemade desserts in a small romantic atmosphere.

Great food, Great menu, good selection of wines and drinks, great staff and management and a wonderful view over the harbour - like being in Monaco!!!
