Friendly staff, lovely Sunday lunch and wonderful setting.

The food was excellent, we loved the decor and the atmosphere and the service was great. It is a little pricey but worth it as a special treat.

A favourite place for family and friends for many years. The food is always fresh and delicious. My elderly parents always get a lovely warm welcome on their regular visits from the charming staff

Unfortunately our recent visit to Bangkok Pavilion did not match our expectations. The food was OK, although a little below par compared to previous visits. The service however was really poor; this was clearly due to the fact that there were far too many people being attended by too few servers on the night. The drinks, starters and mains arrived in reasonable time , but after finishing our main course, we were ignored for nearly an hour. When our main course plates were finally cleared away, we asked for dessert menus but these were not forthcoming. When we eventually went to the bar area to ask again, we were told there were no desserts available. Even though the staff knew that we had been waiting an age to be served after our main course, we were offered no discount on the bill or complimentary drink as you would normally expect in the circumstances. It was a disappointing experience and we won't be rushing back to dine there again.

Excellent food,lovely atmospheric old building and friendly staff

We have used this restaurant since it opened. It was the place to go to for my parents who greatly enjoyed the food. We have never had a poor meal, everything we have tried over the years has been delicious. We do vary what we order and on the last 2 visits we have had the mixed starter, lovely to try some of the starters that we've never had. I would recommend it to all. The staff, especially the ladies, are very polite and helpful. Service is usually good. We will definately be booking again although the prices have risen quite a lot, but then all restaurants have raised their prices as the cost of food has increased along with utilities. I would recommend the Bangkok Pavilion to anyone who likes Thai food or who wants to try it for the first time.

Was visiting the area and googled restaurants, this looked pretty nice and it certainly was. Delicious food and service was just right, not over pretentious or under valued as a guest. If we find ourselves up this way again we will certainly ne back. A charming evening

5 star service and 5 star for what more can you say

After making a booking for a friends birthday, there were 14 of us. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating us, the communication was outstanding. No complaints with any of the food, it was lovely and everyone enjoyed their time here. Garden is beautiful and well kept too. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

Lovely meal good tasty food reasonable price. Only moan would be size of portions, on the small side tbh.

Enjoyable atmosphere, great service, the food was lovely, close to authentic ( it seemed like certain flavours may have been purposely scaled down to cater for the standard clientele). Overall very enjoyable casual meal, would definitely be back!!

The two of us found The Bay Tree Hotel Restaurant to be very friendly and helpful. We had a Sunday Roast (beef) which was delicious. The service was excellent with the staff very attentive. We have the BEST table overlooking the sea with the french doors open - it was wonderful. The relaxed jazz music in the backround was perfect and we even treated ourselves to a quick dance around the tables!! Value for money to was excellent. Thank you!

The service was excellent,could not fault it,the food was cooked wonderfully, didn't have to wait ,the chef came out to see us,and did a great surprise with a candle in a pudding,for her birthday, would recommend this to others,and can't wait for my daughter s wedding there next year
