Excellent! Booked for a Monday lunch and it didn't disappoint! The portions are on the big side so even for a light lunch there was ample and enough to actually think you'd had a big meal! Everything was fresh, cooked well and presented nicely. For what we had it was great value for money. Friendly and courteous staff. Great surroundings. Highly recommend and would definitely go back! Top tip: there is no way to be ladylike when eating the fishfinger sandwich so don't even try!! ;-)

Lunch with friends. Very relaxed atmosphere and quiet. Some local restaurants are so noisy that you can hardly speak. Food - fair.

Usually very good but this time the battered fish was awful and over cooked as was the cajun salmon.

We absolutely loved this family run restaurant. It is unpretentious yet the food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. I really couldn’t fault it and will definitely be returning. A little gem!!

Pub was very busy on Saturday night so we had to wait for service but it was worth it. Good food , friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Booked for lunch Easter Monday. The booking in/greeting area is slightly confusing, as half way down the restaurant. Staff very welcoming and sat us down promptly. We ordered drinks and the steak and ale pie with potatoes, veg and gravy. The drinks arrived quickly. When our order arrived, we received our steak and ale pie but had to wait a further 15 Mins for our vegetables! Also, there was insufficient gravy, so we had to order more. As we were waiting for our veg, obviously our pie was getting cold. Kitchen needs to sort timings a lot better. Also a serving spoon would have been helpful for the veg! In all, the food was lovely albeit slightly cold. Waiting staff good.

Fabulous food, accommodated for all our needs including high chairs for twins plus space for a double buggy. Lots of parking available too. Lovely traditional country pub perfect for lunch, thank you The Plough we will be back!

Has always been an excellent restraunt since it opened. Very good friendly staff throughout. Excelent menu and well presented food.

We had a lovely 2 course meal. The service was very good, the food freshly cooked and tasty. The Seafood platters were amazing.

Great menu choices and delicious food. Service was great too and we had a lovely, relaxed evening. Love the fairy lights and the outside area so look forward to some drinks there another evening.

It is quite a while ago since we had a meal at Chestfield Barn and only came as friends recommended. On entry your check in is half way up the restaurant which leaves you waiting in a line to be seated (there were 4 of us)standing right next to people who were eating. I would not have been happy with one of those tables. I wonder if any members of staff have tried sitting on your chairs for any length of time. We were very uncomfortable - we had the light coloured more modern chairs - reminiscent of church chairs that make you sit bolt upright and the curved top digs in to your back. Even if everything else was top notch we would not return for that reason. The early part of our meal also was marred with children running around. Bit Harvester or TableTable atmosphere.

Once again a lovely meal, great service. Sam makes you feel so welcome. Great gin and rum selection, We’re already planning the next visit.

A family run restaurant with staff who are welcoming and attentive. The menu is varied and the prices reasonable. This is proper Italian food which is reflected in most tables being full on a Wednesday evening. You do have to leave a deposit of £5 a head which is returned to your card a day or so after you have eaten. The restaurant itself is also away from the rowdy part of Maidstone which is a bonus.
