Went for lunch mid-week. Staff very friendly and helpful, in a relaxed environment, with a well-furnished restaurant, and bar. Food was well presented and excellent, and the menu offered a variety of options and was very reasonably priced.

Good food every time without fail.

Lovely meal - our party of five each had different dishes and all were excellent. Staff service was also excellent, and there was a lovely atmosphere.

WHAT A WONDERFUL VENUE.. .... OUR FIRST VISIT WITH FRIENDS AT WEEKEND AND WE SHALL ALL BE BACK. WARM FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT - GREAT MENU AND DELICIOUS FOOD.

Myself and my son took my Mum for her birthday lunch. Absolutely gorgeous meal. The beef sweet chilli salad which I had was perfect and felt as though I deserved a dessert (due to the occassion) so had the apple crumble with ice cream (and cream!). Best apple crumble ever! The topping was perfect and crunchy. Service was friendly and excellent as always. Welcoming and fantastic atmosphere made you feel at home.

We booked The Lunesdale Arms as we were staying in the local area for a few days. What a stunning pub this is. The decor and attention to detail was fabulous. It was myself and my wife and we had a 3 course meal which was amazing. I would definitely recommend to anybody who is visiting the area.

A really excellent Sunday lunch. Great veg selection, and plenty of it. Oh and the cauli cheese was delicious! We’ll definitely be back. And lovely staff. Only comment (Which I fed back at the time) was please could they serve the gravy/sauce in a side jug rather than pouring quite a lot of it all over the meal. Same went for the truly gorgeous pear tart tatin: less syrup poured over but please give me as much as you want in a side jug! It was amazing

So good, we went back two days later. Excellent food, friendly service and nice gastro pub environment

2 for Sunday Lunch. The roast beef, and potatoes were good but unfortunately the red and white cabbage was overcooked and while the carrot and swede mash had good flavour it was ruined (in my opinion) because the plate was served swimming in a tasteless gravy. We have used the Lunesdale on many occasions and no doubt will do again, but probably not for Sunday lunch.

Four of us came for a meal on Saturday night. Staff are engaging and friendly. It’s a great venue with a lovely atmosphere. We had 3 courses and there was only empty plates left. It was apparently a new menu that night and the choice was fantastic. My wife and I are Gluten Free and we had a really good choice of meals and deserts. The food quality great, the portion size excellent and the price is reasonable- most mains are under £20. Full 5* review from me, we will be coming back again soon. Thanks
