As always, the warmest welcome, friendly & efficient service, FABULOUS food so very reasonably priced & all set in the most beautiful, tasteful & very relaxing environment. Never disappoints….. we can’t wait to return!

What a fabulous place! Gorgeous food, lovely staff and such a stylish pub! Very cosy and welcoming but really nicely done, looks fab and feels very elegant. Really adds to the atmosphere. Shame we were only up on holiday or we’d come all the time! Good choice of food on the menu. Kids went for pizza which was very good. I had the sea bass linguine which was absolutely divine. Not too badly priced either. Hoping we’re up that way again soon!

The food was fresh and delicious - gorgeous decor in the restaurant. The two young ladies who serves us were extremely pleasant and we couldn't have asked for a better service - well done !! wish we could have left a tip but had no cash sorry ! :)

The food was lovely as was the whole experience . The staff were attentive without being over so. Definitely will return.

We had a special family Sunday lunch- six adults, one five year old and two under ones. We were all catered for very well. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We shall certainly be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our excellent meal in the usual convivial atmosphere. The staff are attentive and this added to our experience. We have now had several meals at the Lunesdale Arms over the course of this summer and the consistency and choice have been amazing. We have no hesitation in recommending our experience and we will return. An easy 5 out of 5!

Came here for my partner's birthday. Incredible place, photos don't do the restaurant atmosphere justice. Loved the random paintings of Savonarola . Staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond. The food was lovely, we had three courses and stayed for another drink. The duck arancini was the best dish. Didn't want to leave! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Best roast we’ve had in England! Great post hike meal on our way home. Bit of a smell from the cows, but obviously not the restaurant’s fault. All our meals, as well as the service, were fantastic. Thanks for the lovely evening!

We only discovered this wonderful restaurant 3mths ago we have been at least six times returning with friends each visit was excellent You will be a very hard act to follow Thank you Geoff& Margaret

The Lunesdale is a favourite of ours. The food was very good as usual. However, on this occasion, there were a few minor negatives. When my main course arrived, there was a long hair in it. The waitress did offer me a replacement, but I declined. I had also ordered a side order of seasonal vegetables, which did not arrive. Although the waitresses were very friendly and polite, it was very difficult to attract their attention when required, e.g. to ask for the aforementioned side dish, or to get another drink. They were busy chatting with each other and the manager/owner. I don’t want service to be intrusive, but staff should be alert to customer needs. As I say, the food was lovely, but these minor issues did detract from the overall experience.

We eat fish and vegetarian and had one of the tastiest and most interesting (in a very good way) meals we have experienced for a very long time. Very pleasant dining area, with friendly and efficient staff. The price was middle range and very good value. All the staff are happy, engaging with a good range of food and drinks. Unusually a few minutes after serving they asked us if everything was to our liking, and we had the impression that they genuinely wanted to know! We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to our friends and family. Hopefully it will remain under present ownership with its current chef and staff. Worth the trip to Tunstall!

Saturday evening meal with friends. Service excellent, staff very friendly, lovely ambience and food perfect as always. What more can one say.

Went for an anniversary lunch and we enjoyed one of the best meals out in a long time. Great friendly service, plenty of choice and very tasty - we will be back and next time, any excuse for the visit!

This covers 2 recent visits. On both occasions the food has been excellent. Service is very good, staff friendly and attentive. Really nice place, tastefully decorated. Just a shame that I have to drive there and cannot sample the beer, my friends assure me that it is also very good!
