Met up with my parents for lunch on Friday. Both of us drove ~1.5hr to get there and it was well worth it. The food was excellent (in fact the portions were too much for us, so I brought some home) and the staff were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful. They were still two-thirds full when we left after 3pm. We will definitely go back.

Absolutely first class from the really upbeat greeting and service from the young staff who all seem to want to do a great job, to the amazing food and generous portions. So many pubs now offer mediocrity but not here. It’s not often I do reviews but this one was a must.

food was delicious & staff & service good My wife had the beef roast which was good value with lovely variety of vegetables I had the braised beef stroganoff. The meat was so tender & tasty. However the portion was huge & could be reduced by half

What a fantastic place this is. Called in for a late lunch on our way up to the lakes and we were bowled over at how good it was. Very much a restaurant rather than a pub, the food is excellent. (Special mention for the 3 cheese soufflé. ) We will return - soon !

Superb! I had the fish cakes to start - delicious Mains was the chicken stew. Loads of chicken, great stew. These food were on a special served wed & Thurs. Two courses for £21. Add a pudding from the specials to now make it £25 & you just got as pudding for £4. Lovely atmosphere & superb friendly service

What a wonderful place, people and food. We have been here a couple of times recently and it's now our favourite venue in the Kirkby Lonsdale area. There is a nice vibe at Lunchtime without it being too busy, the Food is fantastic and having Shipyard on draught is a real bonus. Thank you

I believe consistency is key to great food, complements to the chef and his staff in the kitchen, great value for money, lovely place and front of house are also very good,⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me .

We often meet up with friends for a meal and enjoy visiting the Lunsdale. We decided that we would try them for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed, the meal wasn’t particularly hot, the vegetables were over done and the roast potatoes were very hard. We decided to have a sweet but the service was very slow and at one point we thought that if our order hadn’t been taken in the next Five minutes we’d not bother. As it was we caught the eye of a waitress and managed to give her our order within the allotted time we had given her. We also surprised that the house red one of our party had ordered was actually 50 p more expensive than the Merlot.
