I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to, in the hope that the owner reads it and makes some improvements. I visited as this restaurant has previously had a good reputation. We pre-booked but that wasn't necessary as the restaurant was deadly quiet. It was cold inside and definitely in need of some TLC. The toilets were very cold and there was no hot water which was concerning. I decided not to use the toilet as it was unclean and so cold. Our food arrived way too quickly for it to have been freshly made. The sauce on both our curries was gelatinous and unappetising. There didn't appear to be any vegetables in the sauce as suggested on the menu. The food was served on cold dishes and plates which didn't help as the room was so cold too. The only acceptable and possible fresh item was the naan bread. Please take note Sultan of Lancaster and make improvements. Retaining customers is key in a competitive and difficult climate. I work in the food industry so know the challenges.
