Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterI brought my sister for a good Sunday lunch. We found the offers and decided to go for the 2 course for £19. This was really reasonable. After a mix up with our starters, which the staff fixed straight away, we were presented with our food. I opted for arincini and my sister ordered the mushrooms on focaccia. Both were delicious and generous portions. We order the beef roast dinners. Theses were huge and the beef was pink, just how we like it. The staff were attentive and the prices very reasonable. I went back a few days later for their burger night. Again, very good food and reasonable prices
Wagon and Horses – LancasterAbsolutely fabulous from start to finish. Great friendly service from all the staff. And a beautiful menu and the food was faultless we will deffo be back! Thanks again!
Wagon and Horses – LancasterThis was my first visit to Lancaster and the Wagon and Horses. We booked for Sunday lunch as it was so close to the car park behind the Maritime Museum, which we had decided to visit before lunch. There is a reduced main course menu on Sundays plus a full menu of starters and desserts. The food was good value for money, the staff very friendly and attentive and I think this was probably the cleanest pub I have ever been in, including the wc. I was surprised the Wagon and Horses wasn't more busy. Maybe a couple of extra mains on the Sunday menu is called for. The rum babas and tiramusu were lovely and very generous. Would highly recommend.
Wagon and Horses – LancasterGreat dog- friendly pub. Excellent food, service and value for money.
Wagon and Horses – LancasterReally special food - full of flavour, care and subtlety. It was a Sunday eve so not busy. The staff were attentive and really helpful - great service. The food arrived in a timely manner - not too rushed, well paced. I took my friend from Wolverhampton who is notoriously fussy about Indian food ... she approved 10/10! Thank you.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterWe came to the water witch yesterday as it had been recommended everywhere. I was expecting good things as these expectations were exceeded. Food was lovely, menu was great for all our fussy eaters (I'm vegetarian, and brought a vegan and 2 meat eaters). I was told the place was dog freindly and it really is. Staff brought water for our very happy labrador. A great place in a fab location with lovely staff. Keep.it up, we'll be back *great chips too!
The Waterwitch – LancasterAs mentioned on their website, The Sultan of Lancaster is situated in a former Methodist hall. The decoration is exotic and adds to the atmosphere. Staff are attentive and the service is very good. To be honest, the food is much like any other Bangladeshi (Indian) restaurant. However, most of the curry dishes, and especially the tandoori chicken, were overly salted. This detracted from what could have been quite tasty dishes making them lower in quality and so quite expensive too. This is reflected in my feedback scores.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterMy dad came here last night and said it was the best indian he had ever had!
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterFantastic food, delious and plenty of it, along witha lovely atmosphere made for a great evening. Staff very polite.
The Waterwitch – LancasterFriendly staff, very dog friendly, excellent for gluten free options and other dietary requirements. We had a lovely family meal and will return again.
The Waterwitch – LancasterNice atmosphere although we were a bit cold as there seemed to be a draft from the door. The food was quite nice, I had rump steak. The fat chips are a bit too fat but the steak was nice. I also had the salted caramel brownie which was so delicious. I’d say compared to London prices, where I live it’s average. In response to another reviewer who referred , quite rudely, to the student bar staff as children - I disagree they were not surly at all however maybe a little more liveliness/warmth in their welcome would be appreciated
The Waterwitch – LancasterNice food, good portions, tasty pizza
The Waterwitch – LancasterExcellent service and food, and dog friendly. Good location
The Waterwitch – LancasterExcellent meal served by friendly staff and the pub quiz was a great bonus
The Waterwitch – LancasterThe service was good but the food was terrible. All the bread had been microwaved so was rock hard and inedible (on my son’s burger and our garlic bread). I had the trimmed chicken and it was so salty it was disgusting. I felt sick afterwards and was actually sick when I got home.
Ship Inn – LancasterLovely setting and tasty food Only issue was I messaged them twice prior to thr booking with a query but didn’t get a response
The Waterwitch – LancasterWe visited the ship inn for our 20th wedding day. We enjoyed a very friendly service and delicious food. In my opinion for the money you get plenty of food and I was really full after the greek salad I decided. My husband enjoyed the fettucini and after that a really rich cheesecake. The waiter went into the kitchen immediately to aks about the flavour of the todays cheesecake. Thank you very much for the nice experience.
