Excellent restaurant food great staff very friendly and very attentive 10 out of 10 from me.
Peacock Chinese Restaurant – OrmskirkWent in June for a birthday . Food was absolutely devine but with small fine dining portions, not for everyone as I could have ate everything again. Didn't like the fact were we made to feel a little out of place that we didn't want to drink wine at 1-30 in the afternoon. Maybe in the evening but just fancied a Peroni . Would go back but maybe in the evening.
Northcote – BlackburnStayed at Pine lake resort in Carnforth in June 2014.
Far Pavilion Tandoori Restaurant – CarnforthHaving visited the Windmill Preston New Road Mellor Brook Bnear Blackburn for my Son's Birthday today 5th June 2014. I have never visited a worse place to eat. The Place was Empty so not rushed off their feet. I ordered Scampi the rest of family had other things, but it took ages to get our order.I complained about Scampi it was not Scampi but reconstituted & shaped & was not fit to eat. The Chef came out of kitchen with bag of frozen reconstituted something & shouted what does it say on bag to which I replied it say's scampy bites! He said I don't f/ing care whether you pay or not . I said to Lady behind the Bar, I'm not paying for that meal. She said I'll ring my boss & he told her to take that meal off the bill. Considering the bill was still £44-25 for4 soft drinks 4 starters & 3 other main meals that were not good either I know we will not be going there again or recommend The Windmill to anyone.
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnI recently visited The Ginger Bakers for afternoon ( Gluten Free) tea.
The Ginger Baker – LongridgeOur ladies that lunch group went for Sunday Lunch at Gibbon Bridge. The food was lovely as per usual and the gardens are always a delight, never moreso than in spring.
Gibbon Bridge Hotel – LongridgeBALTI HOUSE RISHTON IS THE BEST.
Balti House – BlackburnThis is a lovely restaurant. Brill food Pino and his staff are lovely, all make sure you have a good night. Can't wait to go for my 60th birthday in August but will be visiting much sooner too.
Tiger Lounge – ClitheroeVisited Choco Lotty on a bank holiday for lunch accompanied by the wife and two children. We ordered tea for two, rose infused lemonade. Both arrived promptly and were very nice .For lunch we ordered two soups and half a sandwich - £5:00 each. Cheese toastie and ham sandwich - each between £4:00 - £5:00. After 40 minutes a family at the next table cancelled their order die to the wait. My wife also asked how long it would be to be told it was being brought out now. 5 mins later the food arrived. I new the cafe was busy and expected to wait for good, carefully prepared dishes. I think its fair to say that everyones felt underwhelmed at what was placed infront of us.The soup was luke warm and very sweet. The half sandwich was two halves of dry shop bread with three skinny slices of cheese. The ham sandwich was dry and conservatively filled with sliced ham. The plate was garnished with 8 crisps and a pinch of wilting salad leaves that looked like they had been taken from a bag of ready salad. The toastie was dry which we were later told was due to margarine burning the toastie maker. Despite us all being famished not one of us was happy with the food so I requested a refund and explained my reasons. Unbelievably the experience fell even further into something that resembled Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares. The manager refused a refund on the grounds that a. He felt the food tasted great. B. they only use fresh high quality ingredients. C. The delay was the fault of too many customers and not theirs. D. A survey of 200 people had said their food was really good. E. He felt we were being spiteful. After sometime trying to explain the concept of customer service the manager said his final offer was to refund 50 of the cost. When i told him i would happily pay for the drinks i got a full refund for the food.So if you are in Worden Park and fancy a drink you should visit the cafe. If you're looking for a bite to eat you should steer clear.
Choco Lotty – LeylandFirst visit won't be the last. Refurbishment superb as was food and staff excellent.
Spread Eagle At Mellor – BlackburnI was taken to Angels for dinner by my cousins as a treat while I was visiting England from Canada. It was a very enjoyable evening. No rush dining and the food was out of this world delicious. Thank you for a truly fine dining experience.
Angels – PrestonMeal was very nice but marred by having to wait an hour and a quarter for it. We selected an outside table and were told there was a 20 to 30 min wait. This became a one and quarter hour wait. There was no apology or explanation. The sun had long gone down and we were getting cold before the food turned up. Even then 3 meals came and the fourth one took another 10 mins.Totally unacceptable.
The Ship Inn – OrmskirkPinot invited our youth club The Friday Night Project ( a club for children and young people with disabilities) to make pizzas at The Villa. All the staff were brilliant with the kids and even showed them their pizzas cooking in the oven. The whole group had a brilliant time and we had ice cream on the patio to finish and a group photo. Thanks to Pinot and the team for the invite to come back in 6 months. Try and stop us.
Tiger Lounge – ClitheroeDirty smelly and bad foodToilets are so dirty Open plan kitchen is really dirty
Mangiamo – DarwenBrilliant restaurant, friendly staff, good food and a fantastic atmosphere. You are always made to feel welcome. So what if it gets a bit hectic at times, if it wasn't good it wouldn't be busy is what I say. You may have to wait at busy times but sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine. If you want fast foot go to McDonalds!
Francos – LongridgeBeen to the Field Fare twice in two months. We were a party of six everyone aside the food was excellent and tasty. We were never kept waiting between courses thanks to the great service of "Becky B". Many thanks we will be calling again.
The Field Fare – ChorleyVisited today, disappointed, hard pastry poor quality will not recommend to trips we have visiting.
The Duke of Rothesay – MorecambeVisited this evening. If you want an hilarious time, (but you will only think this afterwards) visit this Chinese equivalent of a Faulty Towers restaurant. You will have your meals pushed in front of you begrudgingly. Be told to move closer together so they can take a table away to make a larger table for a group who have just entered, thereby when you eat, your elbows are rubbing your ribs. Demand with stern hand signals to pass used plates to the waiter. Can't get out of your seat to go to the lavatory or go outside for a cigarette, because nobody can move, your so hemmed in, then. THEN they ask you to vacate the restaurant before the last person has finished eating. THEN,.... an argument about the bill. Oh this has to be experienced to see how a service should not be run.
