I didn't dine at Bertrams, However I was very impressed with the whole set up. The Spa itself is very luxurious with a wonderful outside area, perfect on days like yesterday. The dining area has a very upmarket feel. A perfect location to make a day of it!

Just great service and food. Could not fault it . reasonable prices. Give it a go.

My daughters and I went for a midweek meal. Prior to arriving I phoned ahead to ask if they were still doing the sugarvine 2 for 1 offer ( which includes burgers) and the man who answered assured me that they did. When we arrived we were told that the advertisement was inaccurate and burgers weren't included, which was a problem as we all wanted burgers. I showed the waiter the sugarvine ad but he was pretty uninterested and just told me that it was wrong. We ordered two fish and chips and a childrens burger. The fish was ok, tartar sauce nice, mushy peas good but the chips were really cheap frozen ones, and had that crumbly texture inside. The childrens burger and chips was a good sized portion and reasonable at £3.99 but a very cheap and nasty burger and the same frozen chips. Plus we asked for cheese and bacon on it and got a sliver of each for an extra £1.50. Overall we were not impressed and won't be going again. It sounded like a good offer hut you get whet you pay for. It's a shame, because the place is lovely inside and the waitress who served us was very nice.

One of the best restaurants ive ever dined in. Food selection and quality is excellent and price does not matter because you ceratinly get what you pay for here, 10 out of 10.

Easily the best burgers in lancashire. Ordered a Triple P? Didn't expect the mountain of food to come my way I had to take pictures (before and after!) they do monthly specials I think, pulled pork and pink coleslaw and all sorts of stuff! Definitely coming here next time I'm in Preston! Fantastic menu!

Absolutely superb cannot fault , most impressive vegan and veg selections and great service, surprisingly good prices too. Definitely a must visit . Thank you dukpond for a great Sunday afternoon.

Just got in from the Zalzala after another excellent meal. We have been to many Indian restaurants in the Chorley/ Bolton area but the food and service are in our opinion the best of them all. The staff are charming and friendly and make you very welcome

Recommend the restaurant very highly especially the steak night. Good value also the cream teas in afternoon. They do a good spread for funerals plenty of variety. We recently went to one, that's how we discovered this little gem of a place right along canal. Will be great in summer, we will be regulars now.

Very nice food.

Arrived early Saturday evening without making a booking, the staff where very accomodating letting us have a table that was reserved for a later time providing we had enough time to eat (2 hours). The atmosphere was cosy and the staff where very helpful. The food was excellent especially my choice of the fish trio . As we had eaten at the Travellers Rest previously and really enjoyed it we ignored the negative comments posted by some diners and rightly so -wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

This restaurant serves some if not the best food I have had. I would recommend the peri peri chicken stir fry, if any body decides to visit, as its totally mind blowing.

Visited during half-term holiday for lunch - exceptional food as always.

Excellent. Not the cheapest but real value for money. The quality of the food is absolutely brilliant and the staff are very friendly. We have eaten here several times and it is my son's favourite restaurant when he is visiting us from Lincolnshire so nearly always include a meal out when he is staying with us. One thing I would suggest though is to request seating in the conservatory area if you like to eat somewhere quiet as the main body of the restaurant does tend to be a bit on the noisy side. It is always busy, even on week nights but if you wish to dine there at the weekend I would recommend booking to be sure of getting a table.

Visit regularly,food always great,home cooked and always lovely and hot, staff fantastic and welcomming. Recommend Oak Royal any time.
