Oyster and Otter – Blackburnvisited 20th June after a very long wait we where served an awful meal,l very limited menu available, several others also left the restaurant unable to wait no longer
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonWe visited here last night on a quiet thurs evening. Our welcome was particularly welcoming, the decor was unique and we were made to feel right at home. The meal was gorgeous, the chips were home made and the lamb was so tender it was divine. Our waiter who may well have been the manager could not have been any more accommodating. everyone really went that extra mile with our welcome, service and food. I will definately be going back again and would reccommend anyone esle to visit. Thumbs up!
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonWe visited Bangla tonight on a quiet mid week evening. The staff were extremely welcoming and along with the unique warm decor , we were made to feel right at home. We had poppadoms and chutney intially. After mentioning to our waiter that we liked particularly spicy food, he came out with an additional sauce for us to try which was very tasty. He then offered to write down the ingredients for us to enable us to make it at home. We then had starters which were chicken pakoras and a mixed kebab. Both very nice. To finish we shared a main meal which was a tandori mixed grill with rice, chips (home made) and garlic naan bread. Everything we had was delicious, particularly the lamb. Our waiter could not have been more accommodating and informative (recommending we come back on tues night where they have a special lamb shank evening and also do a tandori barbeque). The overall experience was very enjoyable and I will definately visit again. The staff really took every opportunity to go that extra mile with everything. Thumbs up!
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonNice place, food is very nice BUT the whole visit was ruined by the terrible service resulting in the food being cold .Lunch should never take 3 hours , there was nobody taking charge of service, wrong orders in fact dreadfull , will not be going back.
Tiggis on the A59 – Blackburnjust visited p and p this weekend and had a great meal.Atmosphere was great and service spot on.Noticed doing the happy hour all night now in the week and will definitely be back soon.
Parmesan And Pepper – Chorley8 of us went for Fathers Day and what a fantastic meal we had. The food was superb, atmosphere was great and the staff were wonderful. This is not a cheap place to go but if you believe in paying for quality this is the place for you. No-one was disappointed. We can highly recommend the scallops and pâté for starters and the steak and ale pie was loaded with steak. If you like a nice red wine the Beajoloais was the best I ever had (and I have 2 wine qualifications!). I cannot recommend this place enough and will be going back again soon!
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonJust been to New Season Tapas Bar & Bistro for the second time. The food was amazing and service excellent. Bruno the waiter who looked after us was very pleasant and friendly, so were the rest of the staff. Can't wait to go again! The ambience is very relaxing. A lovely night.
Seasons – Chorleywell what can be said for this place....... amazing food fabulous location and great staff... all boxes ticked for me.. lovely
Parkers Arms – Clitheroethis place is fantastic.. every-time... we visit often and lots always the same good food excellent service and great value.. ... if you love Italiano and you like eating... visit Mangiamo...
Mangiamo – Darwenjust got home, from an early meal outwith my husband and daughter, On arrival it was packed, but we were seated straight away, we were not pounced upon for a drink order but given a few moments to settle in which was nice. We shortly ordered drinks, pint of fosters, 1/2 lemonade and cordial, then after a look at the menus ordered our meals, childs spag bol, and g/bread
Tiggis on the A59 – BlackburnStaff lovely, wine fantastic and a great temp, beer lovely according to Mr Russell food shocking. for how packed this place is... food in need of Gordon Ramsey.. utter rubbish even the lovely waitress said it should never of left the kitchen... maybe i should of ordered the fish and chips// what everyone was having round us bit i opted for burger in a bun.. you could of soled a shoe with it.. disgusting..... shame because we live local and would of used the place regular instead of mucking up the kitchen... wasn't looking for Michelin star but was looking for edible .........
Grey Mare Inn – Blackburnterrible
Antonello’s – LeylandFirst visit to Calypso recently to celebrate my birthday. Food sensational, plentiful and reasonably priced, waitresses and barstaff very welcoming. Soul artist fantastic!!...The mood and experience was second to none!!!!....We would certainly recommend and give this experience 5 stars...Many thanks for a lovely evening! :)
Calypso Restaurant – BlackburnDalton Rooms is Lancaster could be best described as an up-market bar, restaurant and club which has solidified its place as a well-respected eating establishment. The 50 off food offer on Monday's after 6pm is something which only a fool could turn down as the food is simply unbelievable for the price it turns out to be. The staff are very friendly and the drinks on offer are vast as the bar is huge in length and a fine selection of lagers, spirits and ales are on offer. The food could be best described as pub-style but with far superior quality. Well worth the price-tag without the 50 off as I can quite honestly say their food is better than Revolution's up the road, and that isn't an insult to Revolution's either! The drinks are quite expensive but are justified on the grounds of how strong they are/expensive to import/produce. The Timmermans Strawberry beer and Leffe Blonde (6.6 abv) is £5/pint but is definitely something which goes well with the style of the restaurant. Other drinks are far cheaper than this, but this is just an insight to how expensive it can be. The downstairs area hosts a very food quality club-area which is known to host burlesque nights as well as Latin-American style theme nights so regardless if you're after a simple meal and wine or a few vodkas and a dance - Dalton Rooms is one place to try!Notable Offers:50 off Food on Mondays after 6pmTwo courses and wine for £10 on TuesdaysBeat the Clock Menu on Thursdays (2 courses for £6-9 depending on WHEN you turn up, after 6pm)
Dalton Rooms – LancasterAfter reading the reviews we are very pleased to say our expectations were met to the highest standards. Food was superb and the service was excellent. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and making the Raj Durbar our new favorite Indian restaurant. A special thanks for looking after us so perfectly on our special night. Try this place you will not be disappointed.
Raj Durbar – Rawtenstallvisited Sirloin after refurb for Sunday lunch. Had roast beef and my wife roast pork. Both were tough and only just warm and served with a watery gravy. Difficult to tell the difference in the meats. Staff very pleasant and service good. First class ale and wine!
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonGo back 30 years. Remember what a true English pub was like. The Legh Arms is just that establishment . I regularly frequent this pub both on my own and With Family. Excellent ambience, clean and comfortable. What more can you ask. A treasure in Lancashire.
