Went for a meal with 7 friends. The food was amazing, very well presented and tasted so good. I had the hanging tandoori chicken kebab. Only fault with it? I couldn’t eat it all I was so full. Definitely recommend that. Everyone else was really pleased with theirs too. The service was excellent. All the staff very friendly. Will definitely be going back.

The scallop starter was delicious followed by roast turkey with all the trimings. Very enjoyable definitely will visit again. Superb place and staff friendly and attentive
Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterBooked Sydney’s as heard good reviews. It was a Christmas get together for past and current work colleagues, 4 of us. The food was excellent, but the service less so. We had to ASK always for service. As Sydney’s was open all afternoon through to the evening, three of us arrived early to have a drink first but we all had long waits to be served at the bar. No ability to put drinks on tab as they hadn’t allocated table, even though I had booked weeks ago. The coffee was thus cold by the time they took payment. At 18.00 hrs, the time I had booked, there was no attention paid to us in terms of moving us through to our table; not remembering we had booked even when told. We had to ask more than once to have our orders taken. Had to ask for water twice. Wrong drinks order. Waitress was not familiar to what she was bringing us - ie which gin was which, which coffee was decaf. Coffee wash cold when brought to the table. We all felt a general feeling of lack of efficiency and interest, even though the food was delicious.

Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterI chose The Waterwitch as a halfway point for meeting friends for lunch on my 60th birthday. What a fabulous place. Friendly staff, fantastic setting on the canal and the food was great value for money. Highly recommended and will visit again.

Sydney’s of Lancaster – LancasterAs regular eaters of Indian style foods, we rate this meal very highly. We usually eat at another restaurant but decided to try the Sultan for a change. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and excellent food. The portion sizes were generous too. We came away with full intentions of returning .

The staff were very careful to ensure the food was prepared gluten-free too. The whole atmosphere was so cosy, especially with the wood fire and the staff were really friendly. We will definitely be returning!
The Waterwitch – LancasterWe have held a family reunion meal for 8 at the Station for the last couple of years and have always enjoyed it, but I think the food this year was up on previous years, it is always well presented , tasty and good portions but just seemed to be that bit tastier this year. And the service was excellent as always. One thing that is nice about the pub is it is dog friendly although we do not require it it is always nice to see. Would recommend to everybody.
