Absolutely beautiful Sunday Lunch

Visited Sunday 2nd Oct 5pm. Pre booked online. Lovely food. Good selection of drinks. Very welcoming and friendly pub with attentive staff. Good decor and atmosphere. Ordered Lamb Roast and Goat’s Cheese Pizza. All good especially the roast, plenty fresh vegetables and an enormous Yorkshire pudding. The whole menu looked very appetising but too full to try the desserts. Will be back for sure when next in the area. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

The food was AMAZING!!! The best Sunday roast I can remember having. Beef cooked to perfection and the taste of everything was spot on! Lovely atmosphere. Will be going back for sure!

Had a lovely meal on Saturday evening for 4 of us … we sat upstairs which was lovely as it was very busy downstairs … service was excellent .. very friendly our waitress was Lucy and the food was really good … a lady next to us had the tagliatelle and u certainly got a huge portion I had the fish and chips which was really good

Lovely visit on Sunday, 25/9, with 5 adults, including one who needs gluten free. The service was really good - friendly and quick even though they were busy. The waitress took time to go through the menu to show which options were suitable for gluten free.... and there was a lot of choice! The food itself was excellent: 3 various roasts (one with a gluten free Yorkshire pud), pizza (huge) and the hanging kebab which was really good. The only downside was that we were so full we did not have room for the yummy desserts! Very pleased with our visit and highly recommend.

The meal was average but the service was not good. There was insufficient staff on to deal with customers . The servers were perfectly pleasant but there were long delays .

I went here for my husbands birthday. The service was amazing and the owner also gave a free cake for my husbands birthday. The food was also lovely.

Lovely lunch at the Station hotel on Friday 16 september which was equal distance for me and my mum and siblings. They catered for my vegan, gluten free daughter and understood her issues. We were too full to eat a pudding! We would definitely meet there again!

I'd booked Sydney's because I saw they do a fish sharing platter which Mum and I love. The staff were very friendly, but when our food arrived we found mussels that hadn't opened and the salad that was served with our dish, limp and inedible. We did point out this mistake and the chef on the day sent their apologies but when I had booked this as a present to my Mum for her birthday I was disappointed.

Absolutely excellent food and service - possibly now the best restaurant in Lancaster (Coach and Horses is very good too but fancier). Thanks very much indeed.
