We booked a table at the Water Witch for our daughter’s birthday. The location on the canal is great. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Two of our party are allergic to gluten and great care was taken to avoid cross-contamination. The service was second to none. I can’t fault it!

Not the best to be honest. Ordered 3 Roast Beef Dinners and although the meat was great they were let down by Yorkshire puddings that were overdone and tasted burnt, waterlogged broccoli and gravy that had bits of congealed skin on it. No check made to see if the food was ok - had to go and seek out the manager (who was the only member of the team that appeared to be doing his job) as the other 3 members of staff were having a good old chat behind the bar. Yes free desserts were offered (declined) and yes there was then a deduction off the bill but in times of financial pressures businesses need to be doing what they can to make them them a place people want to go to. Not sure I would go back.

We always visit this pub when in the area. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly and so are the locals. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

Visited on Saturday 5th November. Booked in advance, table for two. Everything was great but it took way too long for our drinks to arrive when we first sat down. About 15 minutes. The food also took a long time to come out and I had to get up from the table and find someone to ask if we could order dessert. The staff were lovely but there just weren’t enough of them. They apologised several times but we felt sorry for them.

Steak pie was very nice. Asked for well done chips - nice and crispy!

Great food, great service, can't wait to go back and eat those sticky ribs again!

Decided to go here for the Sunday lunch specials following personal recommendation from friends. We were concerned about allergy management as our daughter has a nut allergy. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very friendly staff who, having been made aware of the situation at the time of booking, ensured that we were looked after impeccably. An allergen guide was provided and was easy to follow. We would recommend the Water Witch to anyone who has food allergies as the staff couldn't have done any more to make us feel at ease. The pub, food and drink and location are fantastic and we are looking forward to our return to Lancaster early next year for our next visit.

We went on the 29th October when it had been made over for Halloween. The food was amazing as always, very polite attentive staff and the atmosphere is great. Would also recommend their Sunday Lunch.

A very good lunch yesterday, very efficient service, very good at catering for dietary requirements. We will return. Thank you all at the Station inn Caton.

Lovely restaurant but unfortunately we had a table for 6 people and 2 of us waited at least 10minutes for our meal after our friends had been served. However the food was good when it arrived and we did get an apology just a pity we couldnt enjoy it all together.

The food at the sulton was out of this world it was cooked amazing the stuff was very lovely and kind u made my wife’s birthday perfect thank you we would defo coke again thank so much

Great menu - loads of choice (including vegetarian stuff for me!) My son is a fussy eater usually but devoured his chicken wing starter and his fish and chips! Food was delicious and service was quick and friendly Not the time of year to be sitting outside but we had a window seat so could watch the barges going by.

Havent been in the waterwitch for years but we had a lovely meal. The pizzas were lovely and all the sides and really lovely that one of our group was a student so got 10% discount. Lovely canal side setting and the staff were all lovely. Very attentive and careful with the member of our group that had an egg allergy

The food was really good and reasonably priced. The service was great. Definitely recommend this place.

WE Went for Sunday lunch with my wife and disabled daughter. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Family friendly atmosphere was great. Service was slow even though it was not too busy. The soup was disappointing, more like porridge.. We will go back.
