We went for lunch on Saturday, it wasn't busy to start with but was when we left. The staff were lovely, attentive but not in your face. The food was great and I can recommend the sharing platter. My daughter had the brie and cranberry sandwich which she really enjoyed, I had steak and fries, my only complaint would be to much salt, but that could be personal taste. We didn't have dessert as we had no room. The price was very reasonable and we will be returning.

Excellent food - really enjoyed it. Would have eaten outside if the weather was better. Will visit again when in the area.

We came here for a group meal and the service from the point of booking was brilliant. Cannot fault the staff. Unfortunately, there was a lot of us disappointed with our food. The burgers were all really overdone and dry, likewise the kebabs. The starters were very good but the mains let it down. It was also freezing inside. Beautiful setting on the canal.

Welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. Beer very good. The bare walls and barren floor make the acoustics echoey, conversation then difficult. The food was good and plentiful. Smaller portion options would be a good idea.

Another excellent meal at The Sultan. Food was first class as ever. I like to try something different each time and wasn't disappointed by the lamb desi biryani. My wife had the sultan mixed grill. Our son had his usual tikka curry that is perfect for his developing palate. Service and welcome is so personal, you feel really valued! Ash is the perfect host, you can tell he knows his customers... I overheard comments from another table and he remembers those little things that means a lot. The only 'problem'? With so much choice we over ordered and our eyes were bigger than our collective bellies! Will we be back again? Absolutely!

Took the family, 6 altogether, and shared a couple of veg thalis and a few extra dishes - loads of choice and very tasty with excellent service to boot.

Lovely little place for a drink maybe but food was average, aranchini made with mushy overcooked rice, nacho sauces all out of a box however generous with cheese! The atmosphere was lovely, it was so nice to just sit by the canal

Went for a meal here, the steak was unbelievable! All staff were brilliant, service top quality nice and quick.

A lovely venue with friendly and polite waiting staff. Food for me was below par and overpriced with some dishes requiring you to order sides making a total main fee around £20. Would return for drinks but not food.

Really enjoyed our visit. Great friendly place to eat. I informed the staff of my onion allergy and when I arrived there was a list of all the items I could safely eat. Such a relief. Thank you

AMAZING! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Everything about Sydney’s was fantastic. We arrived and got looked after straight away. Bar staff were great, and the drinks were fab. The food is out of this world, the Chicken Stack is the best chicken burger I’ve had….ever. 4 of us had mains, puddings and drinks. All of it was perfect. The staff were attentive and friendly, Imogen who looked after us was lovely, the bill came to just over £100- can’t say fairer than that. My friend and I went for lunch at Sydney’s for the first time and we were very impressed. The food was delicious and the staff were so lovely and attentive from start to finish. Will absolutely be returning. It’s such a lovely building in Lancaster as well so glad to have it open again!

Food was lovely, restaurant looks great but unfortunately we were a little disappointed in the service.

Visited as a group of 5. The food is excellent, unfortunately for some unexplainable reason our meal was late out of the kitchen and I had to ask if there was an issue. Immediately resolved and served! Worth waiting for! Great flavours and good size portions! No alcohol not a problem, no yobs either!

Food was loverly, staff extremely nice and introduced themselves. Service was slow but would definitely go back. I also want to say how well the young gentleman managed some very abusive rude customers on Tuesday night! They were very apologetic to all the other customers. Well done

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Excellent service. All seven of us thoroughly enjoyed it.
