Lunched out for the first time in ages. My friend had fish and chips. Big portion of white fish with golden batter and chunky chips, looked DEElicious and she said it was. I had a roast ham sandwich with side salad, skin on fries and the most yummy piccalilli ever. I'm not usually a fan of piccalilli but ate what was left of this one unaccompanied! Our next lunch date will be back to the Waterwitch.
The Waterwitch – Lancaster1st time here and definitely won't be back which is unfortunate as it is a lovely setting. Food very mediocre. Opted for a sharing platter and at £24 I did expect more than what we received. Bread stale, 3 bits of butter between 2? Garlic mushrooms tasted sour so we did not eat them and mixed salad had seen better days. Very disappointed as we were keen to try here given the good reviews.

Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterWhat can I say about this food Superb comes to mind. I had salmon and my wife had gammon perfect. As for the dessert we both had the salted caramel profiteroles with chantilly cream, 8 I repeat 8 profiteroles each was a meal in itself. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Will definitely be visiting several times this year

Speed of service was good and staff were very accommodating as we were late and held our table for us which we had for 2 and a half hours which was great. Felt like we had time and space to really enjoy the experience. Good old Waterwitch. Always a favourite with us on a nice day.
The Waterwitch – LancasterI don’t really care what your food tastes like. I booked a meal and found out shortly before we were due to arrive that you didn’t serve alcohol. This wasn’t at all made clear on your website. I cancelled soon after because I will not allow people and their religion to dictate what I can and cannot do. You don’t deserve my custom or money. If you want to take your religious beliefs into you business then make it absolutely clear you are doing that.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterBooked a meal for 2 at this restaurant,I found the staff to be very helpful.The food was excellentand good value for money.The only slight criticism was it could have done with some background indian music to set the ambiance.......but overall enjoyed it and would seriously think about going again.....highly recomend

The Lodge – LancasterAlways visit when we come up to our caravan at Crook O'Lune. Food always good, it is a nice atmosphere. Staff are very obliging, and, most of all, there are a lot of Gluten Free options, more than you might expect. So, here's to the next time....
The Station Hotel – LancasterVery nice meal last night. Our mix of adults and children were all made to feel welcome and there was plenty of choice for us and the kids. I had to try the intriguingly named Hanging Kebab - when it came it looked spectacular and was delicious! (Tandoori chicken). Our servers were all polite and attentive - thank you to them and the chef for a memorable family occasion. David
