I have eaten here many times over the years. I came with some friends from Kent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and desserts. All the staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic venue, lots of choice, reasonably priced, and nice quality.

First time we visited and I’m gutted that we haven’t been before!! Deborah welcomed us at the bar where she made some fantastic cocktails. I had a margarita and my wife had a pornstar martini. Absolutely lovely.’ We then sat down to try the food. We had the squid, bhaji, duck bon bons, belly pork , prawn tacos…i can’t tell you how good they all were!! You have to try this place, we will be back soon!!

Been twice recently, main courses excellent. Really need a printed wine list for the dining tables, to show options and prices. Fish and chips here take some beating.

A wonderful meal the fish melted on our tongues, superbly presented well priced, the staff as always very welcoming and attentive and all round wonderful experience highly recommended for a lovely meal.

We were here on bank holiday Monday at the end of May. The food and service were very good. I had the chicken parmesan which was excellent. My husband and grandson both had burgers and there were no complaints. We have eaten here many times before and although managers come and go, we usually enjoy our experience.

I'm very pleased I found this restaurant as we were having a day out shopping in York. The restaurant is beautiful with loads of Chinese inspired decorations. The food was absolutely amazing. It's been quite a few years since I've had a proper Chinese meal and this was the best! Really wish I knew about maxi before so I could have gone sooner.

Had a tasty dinner at the Kings Arms. Fish was excellent and the Rhubarb trio was particularly delicious. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Overall very good at a fair price.

Saturday evening meal on recommendation. Didn’t disappoint. Lovely interior and staff were very welcoming. Explained the menu well. Food was incredible, well cooked and tasty. A couple of items had sold out but there is plenty of choice so it wasn’t a problem Will definitely go back and will recommend.

My wife and I had Sunday lunch at The Kings Arms, and were served by two welcoming members of staff. We had the beef and the lamb and the meal consisted of generous portions of meat, vegetables and an extraordinarily large Yorkshire Pudding. - perhaps too large a portion as we were unable to finish it! But one last request - please don’t drench the plate in that gravy as it turned what was a lovely Yorkshire Pudding in to a soggy lump. By all means serve some on the side, for those who like lots of gravy.

I came here with four of my friends for a birthday meal. We all had a lovely time. The food, ambience and service were all amazing. Would recommend.

3 or 4 times a year we travel an hour and half to treat ourselves to breakfast here. It's well worth the time. We've never been disappointed. Good portions and always a good meal. Although we do have to spend a couple of hours walking along the seafront afterwards to burn it off again!

Excellent service will definitely return for brunch.

We visit the area once a year. 3 years ago, we came across this pub & called in on the off chance of availability. Very welcoming & the lady who appears to be owner runs a good, tight ship. The service is excellent, the food lovely, nice & clean and we go back everytime we are in Yorkshire :) Would recommend!
