Went with a friend for an early evening meal last night. I ordered the lasagne as I'd had it the last time I visited and it was delicious. Unfortunately it was lukewarm so I sent it back. The waiter (sorry I didn't get his name) apologised, dealt with it efficiently and politely and even came back to the table to let me know it would be just a couple of minutes. He is a great asset. The lasagne was as nice as I remembered it, unfortunately I just couldn't finish it all. Will certainly return.

All 5 plates were amazing the no meat chili was outstanding and the extra side of salt and pepper onion rings was also outstanding and something id never had before but will definitely be having again.

Arrived at 12.00 for lunch, we were greeted and shown to a table. The restaurant was spotless. We ordered chicken sambuca, it was delicious in a creamy mushroom sauce. Our friends ordered salmon taglliatelli which was a good size portion as was the pasta dish ordered by her partner. Would revommend this restaurant.

Would highly recommend the lookout service was outstanding and the food my daughter and I had was amazing, we had the special of the day which was mussels done in a beautiful tasty sauce, prawns in a coconut lime sauce with burnt lemon and rice, everything was well presented and tasted as good as it looked, will definitely be back.

Headed here again for our wedding anniversary, as usual a very warm welcome, quickly showed to our table. Superb meal, very attentive team. Will not be our last visit!

My husband and I went on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. This restaurant used to be a firm favourite of ours. We had been since they changed hands, but while still the old menu (and I think chefs) , and everything had been has great as ever. But not anymore. The service was as friendly as ever, and prices good. The food however was another story. The lamb chop starter and the fish curry main were lovely. But everything else ranged from mediocre to unpleasant. A couple of the sauces were just weird, had a strange gloopy consistency and under taste. Onion bhaji was tasty but it seemed like it had been sat in oil after cooking. One of the mains we sent back because the veg was really hard. Miscommunication to chef meant it came back a different dish with cream in it. They apologised and didn’t charge us for that dish. I do hope they manage to turn things around again and get the quality back to how it was. Finally it would be nice if they could update website to show correct menu. We did mention this to the staff. The new menu we saw had lots of dishes that weren’t on the actual menu in the restaurant, which just added to the frustration.

This place was recommended by friends and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and plenty off it. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Very good value for money. Will be back again for sure x

A delicious meal and excellent service on a really busy night

The service was great, the young lady who took our orders was quick and friendly. The food as always was spot on especially the rice pudding. We were able to sit after our meal to have a drink and a chat without feeling we were in the way. Thank you for a good night we will be back soon I hope.

I brought a group of friends with me and the food, service and choice of gluten free options were all excellent. I’ll certainly be recommending to other people as I live quite local, and will be returning again.

I really enjoyed my meal and so did my friends. The waitress was helpful and attentive. The food was lovely and will definitely return. I had the salt and pepper chicken panouzzo and sticky toffee pudding and can highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Great pulled beef Wellington with roasties and red cabbage for my other half and a nice piece of sea bass for me (skin was not perfect, but the fish was). Really looked after. Sensibly priced wines. Good value. Would go again. We stayed the night, too, and the breakfast is to die for.

Booked in on a rare child free Friday and having been once before we booked in again We order 5 different dishes between the 2 of us, more than enough to be well fed! We had onion rings, lamb, steak frites, lobster roll and masala cod. All the dishes were flavourful and reasonably priced. The star was the cod and surprisingly the onion rings which, as simple dish were incredibly flavourful and perfectly cooked. My only niggle would be the micro herbs on each dish, my wife doesn’t like coriander at all and it was sprinkled on most dishes( I’m being picky) The drinks were lovely and cocktails well made. All in all, to have somewhere like Denman’s on the doorstep with great prices is a blessing. NB no phone signal or customer WiFi which didn’t help when trying to get an uber! Also weren’t offered a taxi

Ist class establishment. Brilliant food .superb staff. Very enjoyable experience. Great value for money .what more do you need
