We booked a table for our wedding anniversary after having had the most wonderful meal at Le Bistro back in November of last year. There were lots of delicious options to choose from on the starter and main course menu. We settled on the Parma ham and melon with deep fried rocket and also the queenie scallops in a Gruyère cheese sauce for our starters. Both were delicious. For main course I had the seafood money bag with fries and hubby had the pan roasted Yorkshire breast of chicken with mash and French garlic mushroom sauce. Again, both were delicious. We only had enough space left for half a dessert so we opted for tiramisu and two spoons. That was really good too. The service we received was lovely and also attentive without being too intrusive. The downstairs restaurant area was pretty much full - not bad for a Tuesday evening. Can’t wait to go again!

Craven Arms – SettleSuch a lovely place to visit. The cats are very cute and the staff are friendly. We had a drinks and cakes which were all excellent. They give you domes so the cats can’t get to your cakes which I think it very thoughtful.
Tabby Teas – SheffieldWe were in Yorkshire for a weekend of cycling. After embracing the county's relentless hills, we were ready for some good food and a couple of drinks. We had a table booked at the Copper Cow, but were running late, so I called ahead and they were happy to fit us in a bit later. Once we arrived, we were seated quickly and served by Daniel. He did an excellent job - attentive and engaging, but not over the top. We had a pit burger and a fish burger. The food was tasty and chips were great. I'd probably go for the beef burger over the fish next time, but that's personal preference. The wine was lovely and I think the beer was good too given how quickly the glass was emptied. All in all a lovely evening. Will return if we are ever in the area again.
