Lovely food, great atmosphere,lovely service. Will defo be going again

Visited Sunday afternoon with family including 21 month old grandson. excellent choice of food, the restaurant is warm, bright and friendly. so much choice we all had plenty to eat. the staff are welcoming and friendly. can recommend this restaurant for families with children and for larger parties.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch yesterday 28/01/24 with friends who were visiting us from Suffolk.. the food was outstanding, service excellent.. highly recommended we will be back

As a regular I was surprised at our lunch on Sunday The stuffing was very well done and I would say burnt on the bottom, the broccoli was rock hard and struggled to cut it never mind eat it and the mushy peas had a horrible taste as if it had been cooked and burnt then transferred into another pan it had a horrible smoked taste We did complain and pass on our comments and we got a apology and was told it was the chefs 1st day The gravy was very thin and tasteless This is our first bad lunch here so was dissapointed and not sure we would return till the other chef returned or leave it afew weeks

Excellent food, great atmosphere and attentive and caring staff.

Nice, but a little disappointing from previous visit. We love this pub, it’s got such an amazing location and keeps that traditional pub feel. We ate here several months ago and it was one of the best Sunday roast platters ever for food quality, food variety and price (£15pp) . Booked again for guests visiting and sadly the experience wasn’t quite the same. Pub has changed hands and the Sunday Roast platters are no longer an option. There was only one meat variety for Sunday lunch, and priced at £18.95pp we were expecting good things… sadly the meet was verging on overcooked and was quite chewy. Would be nice to have a selection of Sunday roasts to choose from and at that price I’d expect perfection. Staff were friendly and meal was good, just not as good as previous visits!

Lovely meal. Intense and fragrant flavours in the main dishes but levels of spice could be varied as everything was cooked to order. We appreciated the chef talking us through the ingredients in the dishes so that we could select appropriate dishes for a specific set of dietary requirements. Great atmosphere, great food at sensible prices and fab service. A relaxed and most enjoyable evening. We will be back.

First time at this restaurant, but won't be the last,food and service was superb, the setting was good, the staff were great, and it was good value for money, highly recommended.

What a lovely little restaurant, the food was amazing, the service was very attentive and so helpful. I would recommend the food, the service and the restaurant to all of my friends and family. We will definitely be going back for more.
