Fantastic meal with 5 friends celebrating my birthday , the restaurant was full to capacity but this didn’t affect the excellent service , the food was top class my first choice for dinning out

I booked a table for 3 adults and 2 children ( 1 required a highchair) which was stated when booking however on arrival to my disappointment was told there were no highchairs available, luckily my son was in a pushchair however was then told our table was upstairs which is a very small staircase had my pushchair not been a travel size one would have struggled to get upstairs and certainly downstairs. Honestly at this point on arrival had it not been for my dads birthday and the fact that this was where he wanted to eat I would've turned around and left,if I book a reservation with a highchair I expect one to be available, very disappointed. Overall the food was great but let down by service as very abrupt and was ushered out of our seats and told sorry we need this table in 15 mins - after the highchair issue I thought this was very unfair as I had to hand feed my son myself so therefore it took alot longer that what it usually would do. Honestly probably wouldn't return if the food wasn't so great not very child friendly in my opinion but the food is great.

Calm and friendly pub. The Sunday lunch, carvery style, very reasonably priced for the servings with an option of a few pounds extra for those with exceptional appetites.

I've been coming here since 1998 and never had a bad meal. I love the Katsu Curry and the Spicy Chicken Men.

I really like this place despite being a pescatarian, the roasts are amazing and there is always a good amount for me to choose from. As well as the food, the team there helpful, friendly and consistent. The décor has clearly been considered holistically and manages to be unique, contemporary and traditional. I am new to the area and will be going back again, for food and drinks. It was super busy on the Sunday but the team managed to find a spot for us. Sad to see that it was not as busy on a Saturday night. Support local business's people :) we need more places like this in Sowerby Bridge.

Excellent as always

Came here on Saturday night for a meal with friends. Couldn’t fault the food there was a great range and it was topped up when running low. The service was good but paying was a little slow. Overall it was good value for money and there was something for everyone. I have been several times in the past and will return . Would definately recommend.

We had the "best" experience. Booked date night package, picked up in the jaguar by Liam as part of the deal. The drive was incredible followed by fantastic service, greeted with a glass each of prosecco and shown to our table. Food, whole experience was amazing!!

Excellent restaurant- friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu, staff very attentive. Will definitely be returning to try the other delicious dishes.

Pub was comfortable and staff pleasant. Food was fine and served within an acceptable time frame. However, I was part way through my meal when two customers were permitted to bring their dogs into the dining room and have them remain there for the duration of my meal. I was not comfortable with the presence of these animals and regard such practice to be potentially unhygienic.
