Easter Sunday Lunch….Fabulous! We chose the Roast Beef which arrived with Roast& Mashed potatoes , a large Yorkshire Pudding and good selection of seasonal veg. We asked for beef slightly rare and it did not disappoint: pink, succulent , with an extra tasty gravy…Mmmm For desert, a lovely home made fruit pavlova…chewy meringue filled with fresh strawberries & whipped cream/ chocolate and caramel mouse, equally delicious . The service was excellent, quick, efficient and attentive. Overall an absolutely wonderful lunch . Look forward to the next visit.

Dim Sum in York! Really glad to have found this. A good selection if Dim Sum and an extensive ala carte menu. Food was excellent. Service friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Surprisingly quiet on Easter weekend. Friendly staff. Hearty rather than gourmet cooking with generous portions and good chunky chips.

Food was lovely however pricey for the amounts, asked if the olives were pitted before I ordered them and the waiter said yes, they weren’t so that’s £4.50 I could have saved as the amount you get is about 10 olives, the mains were again lovely but you get more chips then anything else so not really worth the money!

We dined at Brooks yesterday evening for the first time, being fairly new to the area. It certainly won’t be our last as we had a fantastic meal. From start to finish the service was excellent, the staff were all very attentive and lovely and the food / drinks came out fairly quickly. The food was amazing, really tasty and cooked to perfection. Thank you Brooks for a great evening!

Booked as a birthday surprise for my niece and family. Table area had beautiful decoration supplied by the cow shed. Lovely breakfast and such friendly staff.

While staying in york we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel (impossible motel) absolutely blown away by the choice of food, friendly service, everything about the place was lovely! 10/10

2nd visit to Sambucca and again had a lovely night. Atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Staff polite and efficient. Food is tasty, piping hot and generous portions as well as being well presented. All In all another lovely evening at a very reasonable price for a peak time Saturday evening. We will definitely make a third visit. Cannot fault anything and would recommend you paid Sambucca a visit.

Giorgio’s never disappoints! The food is always wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxed and lively (yes I know that seems contradictory). It is a family run business and always very welcoming and happy! Have eaten here regularly since they opened and have never had a bad meal. Was there Saturday night for a family birthday meal for 7 people. Delicious meal and a lovely evening. My family always loves eating at Giorgio’s.

Lovely family meal, everything was beautifully cooked and the portions were generous and reasonably priced. Craig and the staff are all friendly and polite. The Maypole has a warm welcoming atmosphere. We will be sure to return.

Food is always amazing! The good Friday special was probably the best fish and chips I've had. Great selection of beers and alcohol free beers too.

Great value lunchtime offer any pasta or pizza for £6.95. Italian beers very reasonable to boot.

We were seated across from the bar/till area very promptly, staff were friendly but we could hear their conversations about how they couldn’t wait until B&M shopping time!. We also heard how inconsistent they all were, a lady came in and canx her booking for the following night, they had a gent pop in after to ask about a booking and he was told sorry fully booked!!!. Then another staff member when asked again filled the slot. The phone was ignored many times and when answered they took a takeaway order but then when answered again told them sorry not doing takeaway!. Surely this is not good for business???. The food though is amazing and would highly recommend but the staff need to be aware that they can be heard so perhaps be a little more conscious of this. And be more consistent with what they are telling people.

Lovely restaurant! Food is always amazing. Quick and friendly service every time too. Can't complain at the price either. Would recommend to anybody!
