First used the restaurant shortly after the new owners took over and was impressed by the meal and the menu. Made a second visit a few weeks later and the meal was a bit disappointing. Last night (11/9/12) five of us decided to go for a meal, it was early and we were the only diners. I was disappointed that the menu was the same as earlier in the year when we first visited. I ordered Garlic Mushrooms and when it came it consisted of no more than two mushrooms thinly sliced and swimming in a cream sauce, i was luckier than one of our five though, her starter (ribs) had been forgotten and only arrived when the rest of us had finished. When it did arrive instead of falling off the bone the meat had to be forced off with a knife and my friend just gave up on it.The main courses arrived, well four did, this time it was me who was forgotton. My New Inn Burger eventually arrived and it was as if it had been left on the side and then thrown in the microwave before serving. The burger was dry, the bread roll was hard round the edges and the chips had been warmed up.As we all had something to complain about we decided not to risk dessert and asked for the bill. Talk about adding insult to injury, two guest beers had been added to the bill, we had been drinking wine and soft drinks so it wasn't ours, fair do's it was taken off when we complained.We have probably had worst meals in a greasy spoon or motorway cafe but I cannot remember when, I am not suprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant.

First time for an evening meal last Saturday.Great menu choice, really nice place. Unfortunatley the main course got mixed up.

We booked a table for 9pm and were told that we had to be out of there as they lock the doors at 10.30pm as this is their strict policy , this was saturday night !!!! Needless to say we cancelled this as we did not want to be rushed .

I've been to two parties where bbartenders have provided the bar and each time has been fantastic service. i would most certainly use them for any type of function as they are very professional and reliable.

We had a great dinner with 3 more family on last month. all of them enjoyed it. Thanks.

Appalling! Service would be good if it wasn't let down by the food. We have eaten there once and two sets of friends have eaten there on separate occasions with the same result. Venue is good, decor is excellent, menu reads well if only the reality was the same.

We've visited here several times lately and always had a good reception from the friendly staff. The food has been great, although the range is a little limited. No problems with the quality or the service!

An excellent little Italian, prefect for a fun night out with friends. And it's BYOB!! I have never seen a bring your own Italian before but this makes it even more affordable to eat out more often. This is a great place and everyone in the Leeds area should try it out!!

This pub has gone down so much since I last visited it. Put it this way wont be going back there anytime soon. Bar makd asked if we wanted glasses for a J2O drink? Ordered sandwich with a portion of chips got 9 yes 9 chips. Not exactly a portion. The barmaid should rethink her career choice not chatted never smiled could not be bothered really shame because this pub use to be full and people used to queue up to get in

Amazing food and service, brilliant chicken balti and kulfi dessert. The waiting staff were very polite in recommending suitable dishes and were very patient with us, considering our lack of curry knowledge. A Great meal and an enjoyable experience overall!

visited lunchtime fri 31st august. staff are very good but food really disappointing. i had beef curry and husband had chicken. both meats had been boiled for so long that they had no taste at all! they curry was full of onions, far too much. the hot and sour soup was the best part of the meal. would not go there again and would not recommed it to anyone. very disappointing.

Bbartenders provided all of the drinks for my sisters wedding and they were amazing. There was a brilliant choice of cocktails including special personalised drinks for the special couple. There was also lots of shorts, bottled beers and wines to choose from at very reasonable prices. They also provided all the bottles of wine for the reception. Cant wait to have a party just so that we can book them again!

What a great experience at the Akbar's Leeds. Both the service and food was great, no complaints whatsoever. The service was excellent with the waiters being very helpful in recommending dishes and very patient with us. If you want a great time dining out, I highly suggest Akbar's!

£70 for a two course meal for 3 is double the price of good pub food. Bad points: Veg were raw, sent back and they returned after 3 mins in microwave, dishes were conceived and cooked in blissful ignorance, for example Sole rolled with (too much) smoked Salmon destroyed it and Brandy snap was actually Amaretti biscuit. Food was all bland with almost no exceptions at all. This restaurant is full of "atmosphere" however, or noise as I prefer to call it, couldn't have a conversation properly. Very, very disappointing after reading many good reviews.

We are fortunate to live within walking distance of Brighouse which means that we can enjoy the food and drink without having to worry about transport. The Great Wall has all our favourites, from the "Banquets" to simple 2 or 3 course meals - the soups, starters and main courses are each as good as we have eaten anywhere, & the staff are equally good. In the years that we have been going to this restaurant the only problem has been that sometimes we have eaten too much, and I cant really blame them for that! The staff are always ready to help or advise, and we rate this our favourite restaurant in the area.

The food was amazing! the place was very cozy and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. starters and mains were flawless and there were plenty to go around.

We spent an enjoyable few days on and off over a week in the middle of August. The rooms were fine - nice and big - and the baths - big. The breakfast was brilliant - as was all of the food we ate. The price and quality / quantity was great value for money and Craig the chef was excellent. The service was quick even at busy times. Derek and all the rest of his staff were so friendly and socialble - as were the locals - even when we won the play your cards right jackpot!!! We wish we had found this little gem years ago. We will have no problem to return and spend more time at thew Boars Head. We wishh Derek and all his staff the best. The Osbornes (Somerset) and the Griffiths ( Herefordshire)

i think i'm one of the first to review this restaurant but i'm sure i won't be the last. fantastic service from start to finish. All staff are polite and friendly, and food was served in a timely manner and with a smile. The food is delicious and to a high standard, as well as being great value for money. I would highly recommend Arooje to anyone, and it is one of my favorite Indian restaurants
