Visited on three occasions - very impressed with food, friendliness and surroundings. V busy purely from word of mouth - service slightly slow as think their immediate popularity took them by surprise. No longer open Mon. Not licenced but welcome to bring your own! Super antique type 'market place' in adjacent room selling furniture, bric a brac, cosmetics, garden items, some clothing, hair & make up products and shoes, bags & boots - all at great prices and nicely laid out. Looking forward to going to the tapas eve with a dozen friends on Aug 5! Paninis highly recommended as is Sunday lunch and desserts excellent.

Very disappointing!! We booked our table for 7pm, we eventually sat down at the table for 8. The food was bland and over cooked... had to send a meal back. The staff are very young and do not know what they are doing - had to ask for cutlery. Then they over charged us by £15. Would not recommend and will certainly not be going back!!

The Jewel in Crown!! Having met a friend on the worst day of the week so far weather wise and having been rather disappointed in Ripon itself....We were lucky to lunch at Lockwoods.... What can I say....? great food / good service/ and wonderful atmosphere meant we came away from Ripon thinking of it more kindly than when we arrived!! Would recommend to anyone wanting somewhere different with imaginative menus.

Have been eating here since it opened and find the food fantastic. It is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The owner who works at the premises is friendly and always able to advise on different dishes. I would say that this is probably the best Thai food I have eaten and is also great value. If you have a family it is a great place to dine in a casual and spotless environment.

Visited recently, would never go again, had to wait 45 minutes for starter this was at 7.30pm and only half full. Service very poor they virtually threw rice on to table, food average. had to ask for cutlery, staff off hand. When clearing table dropped dirty cutlery on laps of customers, no apology. Back to the Viceroy and Jinnah for us

We have been going to valentinos since it opened always enjoyed the experience, BUT tonight 3 great meals 1 not good. Be warned to my surprise they do not like complaints, fillet steak with copious amounts of fat. The owner told me " its the LUCK OF THE DRAW" excellent customer service!!!! I can see why we managed to get an 8 o'clock table at the last minute. This place really as gone down hill

The food at the Olive Branch was superb, very tasty, service very attentive and friendly. I had the lamb chops and they were extremely tender and tasty. Will definitely be going back for another meal soon.

The Fox Bar & Bistro in Ripponden is a friendly welcoming place that has a relaxing décor and laid back feel. We have eaten here several times and never had a disappointing meal. Our last visit was on a Wednesday teatime in July. There was a fish and seafood festival taking place with a large variety of fish dishes to choose from. I asked what the Parrot Fish was like, the waitress wasn’t sure but she went to ask the chef who came out to describe the texture and flavour to me. It was an excellent choice, well cooked and very tasty, it was accompanied with a rocket and chilli salad which complimented the fish well. My husband opted for steak which was cooked perfectly to his liking and came with the most delicious chips. We will definitely be returning.

I would recommend the newly opened pub, the food is great and the service very friendly. I will definitely be returning !

Andy & Dave have re opened on an evening with a new Tex/Mex menu. Friendly service with good quality food and excellent value for money. Well worth a visit.

Three of us including a visitor from India came on Thursday evening for a meal. We had a fabulous meal which we enjoyed, especially our visitor. He was here on previous visits and was very pleased to dine again at Prashad. We ordered a mango lassi for our visitor, papads, bhel supreme, pani puris, utthapam, rava idli, bhinda and puris. Our visitor had not eaten bhel or pani puris before this. He was bowled over by their taste. He was very impressed by the very high standard of the cooking, the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. So thank you Prashad for a most enjoyable evening out.

I am from India, currently on a lecture tour of England. My hosts brought me to Prashad for dinner this evening. I had been to Prashad on my previous visits and liked it very much. Since then, I have come to learn that Prashad has gone from strength to strength, winning accolades from the TV Chef, Gordon Ramsay. The results were evident when our meal arrived. My hosts had ordered a mango lassi for me, papads, bhel supreme, pani puri, utthapam, rava idli, bhinda and puris. All the dishes were exquisite. Although, I am from India I have not had the occasion to eat bhel or pani puris. Both dishes were a delightful revelation, and are certain to be part of my menu wish in future. It was a great meal and a great evening out.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting a top quality meal in a fantastically warm environment. Excellent food and top class service. Can't wait to go again!

Not recommended. Food quality was poor and cold. Real ale was off! Does has good view of minster rooftops, but comes at a price as surroundings are dirty.

I received the La Romantica red wine as a gift,This is the best wine!!!! I loved it!!! Thank you for having such a great wine, I learned it was purchased through schunks and it is great!!!!
