What a dreadful place. The food is awful. Good points, a nice pint.

Black Bull – WakefieldI was a lucky girl to be whisked to the Box Tree for a birthday lunch. Loved it!
The Box Tree Restaurant – IlkleyWe went there specifically for the buffet. The manager said he would only open the buffet if there was at least ten of us. Waste of a trip!
Nawaab Khan – RoundhayHi me and my husband had a wonderful meal here at easter we had Been on a day out. And on the drive home we were getting hungry so my husband spotted your place so in we came. We had never been before and we were welcomed like regulars. The staff were great and the food was to die for. They even gave us a glass when we asked if we could buy it they gave it us free. We will definitely be visting again when in the area. Thanks again for a lovely meal and at the right price to. All the best Karen & Doug
Boars Head – SkiptonOn walking in the place has undergone a good refit. Service was really poor given two menus with no follow up. Had to ask for a drink on entry left at the bar with just the menu. Main manager forgot my drink . No ice bucket available for wine. Bread order came after we had finished our tapas. Gritty prawns and less than tasty calamari. All for £60. I score 5 out if ten, need to find a good restaurant now as still hungry. A real let down, I am a big tapas fan have got a house in Murcia so I think my review is a valid one. They must try harder. Main restaurant significantly better by a country mile. Service being our main issue, service was 1 out of 10, food 5 out of 10, setting 8 out of 10.
Solita- HullI booked a table last year it was our first time at Gaucho and I have to say what an amazing experience. The service was impeccable the staff were very friendly, the knowledge of the different cuts was excellent even the wine choice to go with the different cuts was exceptional. The ambiance was lovely. I am booking again for the 30th of May to celebrate my son's birthday we loved the restaurant that much. Thankyou to all staff for a wonderful first experience. See you all soon.
Gaucho – Leeds City CentreHad a lovely lunch here today. I would definitely recommend Pintura.
Pintura Basque Kitchen and Bar – Leeds City CentreOur family stayed at The Devonshire Arms on Friday for my mothers 75th birthday celebrations. We had a wonderful day and night. By far the best part of our stay was the food at The Burlington Restaurant, which was top notch. They have 4 Rosettes and I would imagine a Michelin star is on its way. From the amuse bouche to the complimentary chocolates, everything was perfect. I was particularly impressed with my duck liver starter and 55 day aged beef for main. The presentation was excellent, however more importantly the food was extremely tasty and satisfied my hunger. Have eaten in any fine dining restaurants I have become a bit jaded with 'molecular gastronomy' and I much prefer this style of fine dining cuisine. The wine waiter did a great job too, recommending a replacement for our corked wine. All the waiting staff were professional and friendly. Well done to the chef.
Burlington Restaurant – SkiptonA perfect place to take my mother for her 75th birthday. Famous since the early 1900's for great food and service. Loved my rosti and glass of Swiss red wine. Betty's is always packed which says it all. The ultimate afternoon tea venue!
Bettys Cafe Tearooms – HarrogateWe have always loved Salute for the ambiance, food and service with a smile but after dinning at Salute's on Thursday the 30/04/2015 we were left a little disappointed with the taste of the food. The sauces were very bland and oily/greasy something we had never experienced before so we questioned the staff about this who were very polite and listened to everything we had to say. Apparently the Chef has changed and this has obviously contributed to the differences. Although it was edible we didn't think it was as nice as the original menu. We will be trying it again in the future and hope this can be sorted as we do like the overall dining experience. Brenda & Sid
Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellAbsolutely brilliant. Been twice and would love the recipe for curried chicken soup with noodles!
Chaobaby Thai Restaurant – SheffieldAbsolutely love Monkman's. Been many times and recently had a lovely birthday lunch there. My favourite place to eat in Ilkley.
Monkman’s Wine Bar & Restaurant – IlkleyBAD, BAD, BAD THEN EVEN WORSE.
Boars Head – SkiptonWent to the boars head today with one of my sisters and brother in law for lunch, we were visiting him to discuss the funeral arrangements for my other sister who he had been married to for 45 years. What a disaster! We didn't want to make a fuss for his sake so after my sister asked for a clean knife I didn't complain about my food being served on a chipped plate or the chips being hard or the latte being luke warm, my brother in law didn't want to complain about his cauliflower being too cold to eat either. But....when the last mouthful of my hot chocolate fudge cake was like eating a toffee crisp due to it being over microwaved I felt I just had to tell the barman-cum-waiter about my pudding when he asked if everything was ok. He then proceeded to collect the plates and shouted "unbelievable " when he reached the bar. I went to the bar and paid the bill telling him I didn't appreciate his comment, his reply was "and I didn't appreciate you three sitting in the corner creating either". Needless to say I will never go back there again. I have never been spoken to in such a rude manner before.
Boars Head – SkiptonWhat a lovely pub. We had a great lunch there, the food, the beer, and the service was outstanding
The Halfway House – ShipleyI went to Scalby Manor on Wednesday 8/4/2015. I was not at all happy, my partner could not have a shandy for there was only bottled lemonade. You could have a choice of three meats but there was only 2. The beef was chewy and hard to cut. I visit you a lot but I'm not happy with it today.
Scalby Manor – ScarboroughThe food is amazing, all home cooked. The staff very friendly and the ladylady brill. Definitely go again, very recommended x
The Oddys – HalifaxWe had booked the day before for 6pm for 6 people, to be told on arrival we hadn't booked. The staff were rude and off hand. I asked if they had a table to be told they were booked until 8pm. When I pushed it and said it had been booked over 24 hours previously one staff member said they weren't in then, and the other looked at the diary and miraculously found our booking! We were seated and ignored for 15 minutes before they took out drinks order. They then took our food order and the food arrived fairly swiftly, though they began to clear the starter plates while some of us were still eating. The mains arrived at a reasonable pace following the starters. The food was generally tasteful, plentiful, filling and hot. We had several waiters/waitresses during the meal and we had a job catching anyone's eye to ask for the bill. Out of the two I prefer the Imperial, the Palace's sister restaurant which has had a facelift, round the corner on Kings Road and next time we go out we will go there out of the two. Did we leave a tip? The tip I would leave is manners cost nothing. If you can't be bothered to be polite to your customers, perhaps you are in the wrong job......
