We have been eating at Aldo's for many years now, and we are never disappointed. A warm, friendly welcome always awaits and this followed by beautifully tasty pizzas and amazing king prawn dishes always ensures a great evening. Great night out with family, friends and our daughter goes there with her friends too. Can't recommend it enough.

Little Italy on your doorstep ,fantastic atmosphere, food and wine superb,whether you have steak,fish pasta, or pizza. everyone's a winner. We have been going for many years long may it continue!!!!!!!! ,and cant go without mentioning the nothing is too much trouble and always a friendly smile THE CROWTHERS

we have been weekly customers for well over 20 years and the standard has never dropped. The new bar is a master stroke by Pino ,and he has managed to take Aldos to another level. TRY IT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Had the complete misfortune to call here for lunch one day...If you are Vegetarian..just forget it! The staff think that being a vegetarian means that you will still eat fish! They did have an old mouldy vegetable kiev lurking about in the freezer that was left from when it was on the old menu..but we declined that kind offer! We settled for mushroom soup which didn't taste of mushrooms at all but of bovril!,,then apple and blackberry crumble which was served upside down...we weren't sure if they were trying to do things differently here..but I don't think we were that lucky..they just couldn't be bothered to get it on the dish the right way up! The coke we had to drink was flat!..and we wondered why the carpark was empty! NEVER AGAIN!

When you first walk into this place it looks like a dodgy old pub..but then you are taken upstairs to a beautiful big room with high ceilings and lots of space.The tables are spread apart so that you feel like you are there on your own and can have your own private conversation which is lovely.The lady who took our order never smiled and did this scary thing of writing down our order without looking at her order pad but staring into our eyes so intently that i thought she was trying to hypnotise us!..However, that didn't put us off.The food was really lovely and good value for money and the rest of the staff friendly.Had a wonderful meal and will definitely go again.

My birthday meal 17/05/2011 7.45pm 4 of us at our table --my guests meals and the salad was fabulous !staff brilliant and service , However I had nachos they were revolting --asked for some more melted cheese on it came back still could not eat it dry inedible ruined my night also may I suggest that you put the dips in little containers instead of throwing it on the top . came out for a nice birthday treat -got dried up nachos --might as well have had a packet crisp with a dip what a waste of money .

Staff are really friendly , food brilliant at a reasonable price. My first choice for a curry in Yorkshire

I am a big fan of Aldo's and have been coming for many years now. It has a really welcoming friendly family atmosphere. The foods has never disappointed me and is great value for money. The new Prosecco bar has a great atmosphere and serves some great cocktails. Absolutely worth a visit.

I really enjoyed the food at Samis when we went for my friends 30th birthday last week, the portion sizes were good and the menu was small enough so you were not bombarded with choices but large enough to offer good variety. However I thought the service could have been alot better. We had pre booked in advanced a table for 18 which they accommodated for us by putting us upstairs. The room was nice and we were the only people up there (probably for the best as we were making quite a lot of noise) but it took about 25 minuets for someone to come and take our order. When a waitress did arrive the menu is numbered so it was just a matter of telling her the number of your dish, we all went for a starter and a main but the waitress missed of 4 starters form the order which had to then be cooked and brought up after the rest of us had finished and then a different 4 mains were forgotten and a waitress had to come up again to re take the order as the rest of us were eating. When the food did arrive everyone seemed to finish there meal and enjoy them as well. They also didn't mind that we had brought our own birthday cake which they lit the candles and brought to the table. My recommendation is thumbs up for small groups but thumbs down for large ones.

The New Ellington restaurant is attached to a small hotel on a quiet street in Leeds. When you enter, there is a lovely airy atrium bar, claiming to sell the widest variety of gins on offer. The cocktail menu is also pretty extensive. All the ones I have tried have been great. Try them before dinner, or even if you’re just passing by – the house specials are especially good. The décor is very 1920’s glamour – very jazzy and feels very elegant and classy, with black and white photos in the bar and stylised pictures downstairs in the restaurant. In the restaurant, the atmosphere is good with staff on hand but not intrusive. The menu is fairly extensive, with about 10 starters and mains each. The starters are around about £5-6 and the mains from £12-16, which is fantastic value for the quality of the meal. There is also a changing “Taste of Yorkshire” Menu with 3 options for each course. This is really good at £15.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3. The portions on the menu are exactly the same size and quality as those on the a la carte, which is very refreshing. Dishes are beautifully presented with really interesting combinations of flavours and very filling. My particular favourite is the suckling pig done 3 ways with “apple textures” and the chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream and pistachio brittle is a knock out. I’d definitely recommend this for a relaxed evening out.

LOVE IT --- LOVE IT LIKE A MINI ITALIAN HOLIDAY EVERY VISIT FANTASTIC FOOD THE AMARONE WINE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!! PLEASE DO NOT DRINK IT ALL !!!!!!!!
