Raja’s – RoundhayWe visited ciao bella one thursday evening and found it to be a little hidden gem. The food was fantastic, the staff and service were second to none. The beautiful building and interior made it even more of a pleasure. The music was tasteful and not too loud but intensified the wonderful atmosphere. We are now fans for life !!!!!!!! Gail, Claire and Sandra.
Ciao Bella – Leeds City CentreIv been going the Punjab for years. Brilliant food, and service, iv eaten at every curry place is Bradford, and this has to be one of the best, my fav is their Mix Grill Sizzler... Very succulent, and spicy...
Punjab Sweet House and Chargrill Centre – Bradfordi came here on a busy (late) Saturday evening. the restaurant had quite a buzz about it. the atmosphere was nice, the food was brilliant, only to be out done by the service i received there. all the staff were extremely helpful, and found it very easy to recommend a dish, which was surprisingly good. the cost of each dish was really reasonable, which is more than i can say for the last owner. i cant wait to come back and sample some more of their extensive menu. an overall amazing evening out
Ciao Bella – Leeds City CentreHmmm! No..It didn't work! Vegetables at extra cost, no bread or rolls. Were not told the lamb was off (maybe should have been informed when we were handed the menus, not after we'd studied them for 15 minutes). Were seated 40 minutes after we arrived, and left to sit at the bar on a leather couch which I kept sliding off. If we'd wanted to sit in a bar...we'd have gone to a ...BAR!
Embers of Haworth – KeighleyThis simply is the best takeaway shop in East Hull! Sometimes you order food from a takeaway shop regularly and sometimes it's nice, other times you don't really enjoy it. The food isn't always that consistent. But with East Hull Pizza's, everytime I've ordered from here it's been absolutely top notch! The food is delivered quickly, they have some brilliant offers on - two ten inch pizzas and two sets of chips for 9 quid - I mean come on, that's a bargain! That's just one of them, but just because it's cheap doesn't mean to say there's any compromise on the quality, because it's always absolutely gorgeous and it always looks the part too. Smells devine and as soon as you open up the boxes it looks soooo good! One other thing that I will say about East Hull Pizza's is the service. It's fantastic. Whenever you ring up to order they are always really friendly and also very helpful if you're not sure what exactly is on the menu. The delivery drivers are always really friendly too. Just give this place a try!Excellent service, fantastic food, proper cheap and quick to deliver. What more could you want?! You will not be disappointed!
East Hull Pizzas – HullWhat a great place, the meals are all fresh and home made - the chips are just amazing (not a frozen chip in sight) The meals are like no other pub meals I have ever had, true honest food and well worth the trip. The staff are really friendly and stunning views. This Pub is a real gem and a visit is a must.
Rose and Crown – HuddersfieldI have eaten at The Rose and Crown a number of times now any every one has been GREAT! The country pub is in a wonderful location and offers just the best home style cooking. Everything is home made here! from soup to the best chips I have ever tasted. Fish and Chips is a must even if you order just to see the size of the plate!! It is a real must this place, however Sunday lunch gets very busy and as everything is home made you may have a short wait but it is well worth it. GREAT PLACE
Rose and Crown – HuddersfieldGot a takeaway from this restaurant whilst on a short break in the Dales, on the basis of all the awards it states it has won in the last two years. Was very disappointed with the standard of the food when we got back to our accommodation, it tasted insipid and looked like it was made using leftovers, perhaps the award winning chefs don't do takeaways early evening midweek. Was too far to take back and complain, if served with this as an eat in meal, I would have sent it back. Perhaps just an off night, but with the reputation for good Indian food in the Yorkshire area (I have had good meals elsewhere), this was mighty disappointing.
Shimla Spice Restaurant – KeighleyAwful food. Consistently. Beer is OK and is OK for general drinking but I've been on many an occasion and the food is terrible. The last time I went, the chicken seemed to have been through several cycles of re-heating and when I said so when the waitress came at the end was told that I should have said something during the meal. Nothing further was offered. Hang on, aren't I the customer? I didn't want to disturb the other two I was seated with and put them off their food (Afterwards they said that theirs was terrible too!) Gladly I live between Pudsey and Tong and closest to me are the Bankhouse and The Fleece, both excellent for drinking and the Bankhouse has good food too. Incidentally, I've never posted a comment like this but the food was sooooo terrible and the staff unconcerned that it really should have been a clip round the ear for chef, I felt I had to. If they gave up doing food it'd probably get a slightly higher rating.
Greyhound Inn – BradfordtHIS HAS NOW BEEN RE NAMED INDIAN PALACE. ITS BEEN GIVEN TACKY NEON LIGHTS THE FOOD ISNT BAD REALLY CHEAP BUT FORMULA STUFF REALLY. WE HAVE STOPPED GOING DUE TO IGNORANT STAFF. SHAME REALLY THAT THE WAITERS HAVE A HORRIBLE ATITUDE THROW FOOD AT YOU
Indian Palace – BridlingtonWe went in on a Wednesday night and were seated almost straight away. The service was fantastic and the young, brown haired woman who served us was bubbly, chatty and genuinely interested in our night out. There was a mistake in the way my main meal was cooked but i know it's not a common thing as we go there often enough. The mistake was rectified quickly and the kitchen staff worked efficiently, while our waitress apologised and offered us a discount. The food is great value for money and we all know that there are plenty of offers designed to draw in the recession hit many but the atmosphere and service sets this restaurant apart from the rest. Recommended!!
Frankie and Bennys – YorkA revelation in taste and a paradise for veggies and vegans. Very nice people as well. (And even the music was superb...)
Prashad – BradfordIf you like cocktails this is the place to go! My friends and i came for a birthday meal and as it was a special occasion we decided to treat ourselves to cocktails. The waiter called Ricky is definitely a cocktail wizard. We all had different ones and they were all amazing.Tom Cruise eat your heart out Ricky is a cocktail genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ciao Bella – Leeds City CentreAfter a hectic afternoon shopping my daughter and I stumbled on this restaurant by chance. As it was a sunny day we sat down outside intending only to have a quick drink, however whilst sipping a very nice glass of rose wine and glancing at the extensive menu we couldn't hep but be tempted to stay and eat. The helpful waitress took our order very efficiently and the food arrived very well presented and was quite delicious. We shared the Pizza base with tomato and garlic which had a light crisp base and very garlicky which we both enjoyed. This was followed by lasagna for myself and my daughter had the Remo special pizza which the waitress kindly informed us was named after the owner of the restaurant. Both dishes were tasty and of generous size. Finally we couldn't resist finishing off by sharing my favourite dessert of Tiramisu, which again was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming here again as I was informed that they also do a wide range of cocktails and they are going to be adding new dishes to the already extensive choice on the menu. All in all a lovely food in a lovely setting served by friendly staff.
Ciao Bella – Leeds City CentreAzucars food and drink are simply second to none. Combine that with an amazing music selection, friendly down to earth staff and you have a great dining and bar experience any night of the week
Azucar – Leeds City CentreIt's the first time I've been to this Chinese restaurant. I didn't realised that it was there until my husband saw an ad in the telegraph. I was surprisingly impressed with the food. I don't normally go for buffet foods as I much prefer A-la-carte (not that I'm lazy but it's just that I tend to find buffet foods either too stale and dry or too greasy) Anyway, I've been told by the manager that they do, do a-la-carte as well as buffet foods. We decided to try the buffet food out and was very impressed with the dishes. There was alot of choices to choose from and each dish was cooked to perfection. There was also alot of different choices of desserts to choose from. The sponge cake was to die for. My husband and I would definitely go back again, probably try out the a-la-carte menu. The staff were very friendly. My husband enjoyed talking to the manager who seemed very nice. We had a good giggle with him. A really nice geordie lad (yes in a Chinese restaurant) Definitely recommend this place to all friends and families
