Had a lovely time catching up with friends over lunch. Restaurant is very nice, took a little while for our order to be taken, and again for drinks and food to arrive but we were enjoying our conversation so it didn't matter. Ordered from the small plate menu, very generous portions! Staff were very polite and friendly.

Lambs liver and stuffed plaice for mains and we both had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Beautifully presented food, staff very efficient and friendly and wonderful atmosphere. Staff were so very helpful...........as a diabetic I didn't want the roast potatoes or mash and they very kindly gave me a small portion of cauliflower cheese instead. My friend has a very small appetite and was able to order the child's portion which she enjoyed immensely. Have been previously and will definitely return.

I ended up going to the bar to be told its table service and they would send someone over. After 10 mins they took our order and we waited another 10 mins for the drinks and our tokens The food was very nice as it always has been over the years. We then had to wait again for deserts menu it was only because I caught the eye of tje main waiter that he sent someone over The table service is rubbish to be honest quite frustrating which is a shame because the food is really good plus it was half empty so God knows what it would be like on a busy day

The front of house staff especially were very welcoming and were happy to answer questions we had about the menu. The food was amazing and just the right amount to have with drinks. We sat at the bar and it was a cosy atmosphere but at the same time was interesting to watch the chefs cook our food. Overall a brilliant experience and will definitely be returning soon to try new dishes. Thank you!

Very attentive at the table asking if we wanted more drinks….No. we just wanted the food we ordered over an hour ago… When it came to paying the bill…No apologies for the lateness of food. Just wanted full payment. When we mentioned about the delay….we were told we should have pre-ordered as there were 8 of us….SORRY but this is YOUR restaurant. You make the rules. YOU decide about ordering or your ability to cope with a half full restaurant. DONT put it on the paying customer. ALSO they said ITS A SATURDAY YOU HAVE TO EXPECT IT TO BE BUSY AND A SLOW SERVICE……NO!!!!! YOU should deal with the situation and employ more staff. Other restaurants do.
