Prashad – Bradfordsublime food, wonderful people and service. Definitely one of the jewels in Yorkshire's crown.
Prashad – BradfordWe ate at Prashad 2 weeks ago, the food was beautifully cooked, we weren't waiting very long and the service was impeccable. All they need is a little bit more room so that there is room for people to sit while waiting for tables. It was well worth spending a weekend near Bradford to be able to go there.
Prashad – BradfordFantastic - we are going back until we have tried everything on the menu! Delicious, filling, amazing presentation, skilled and sincere service, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. A must if you visit Yorkshire!
Prashad – BradfordGreat pub with fabulous friendly staff. In terms of food the Duke of York punches above it's weight. Sunday lunch is great value as is stake night on Wednesday but for a real treat try Thursday night and Maria's special curry....it's outstanding. Try it and you won't be disappointed
Duke of York – HalifaxHighly recommended atmosphere is fantastic and food and wine very good.
Lucia Wine Bar & Grill – BeverleyIt was a friendly atmosphere plenty of space between tables. Service excellent and something on the menu for everyone .
The Hunsworth Brewers Fayre – CleckheatonSaw this Restaurant featured in Gordon Ramsey's "Best Restaurant " when living abroad some 5,000 miles away. Made a promise to ourselves we would dine there. It wasn't a disappointment. The attentiveness and friendliness of the owner and waiter were second to none and the food was delicious, particularly the special chaat.........Highly recommend this restaurant!
Prashad – BradfordPrashad really is a super restaurant. The dishes are beautifully and expertly cooked. The Tarka Dahl was the best I have ever eaten - perfect spices and texture. Restaurants like Prashad are few and far between, so you really must give it a go to discover what Gujarati and Punjabi food should taste like. I wish we lived a bit closer!
Prashad – BradfordBrilliant, what an all round pub......food was excellent in such a nice environment, the people of Monk Fryston should be so happy with such a fab pub in a village location.....Highly highly recommended./
The Crown Monk Fryston – Garforthwe went to Theo's friday night and had a great meal, we were surprised at what came with the main course normally you have o order pots and veg as extra's but at THEO'S there was no need it all came delicious rice the potatoes were amazing and a huge table salad, the dressing was to die for. everything was superb they were very busy, the service was good he staff friendly we had a chat with the chef and his wife, it's a lovely relaxed atmosphere were you can enjoy a good evening of good food, good service and relax with your own wine or buy THEO'S, FANTASTIC we've booked to go again in a couple of weeks
Aya Sophia Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine – Hebden BridgeOur first visit to Salute Bar, great ambience & liked the premises – unfortunately the food wasn’t as exciting and a few surprises were ahead – The Food - garlic bread tasteless, crab tagliatelle £9.95 bland could only taste the chilli, penne al forno was the better dish. The Surprises – diet coke was served in bottles (no draft) at £2.50 each!! far too expensive and our bill had a service charge of £5.00 added which we found very cheeky and wasn’t advertised as far as we could see. We usually leave a tip but find this type of billing very annoying. All in all, nice place & atmosphere, some friendly staff some a little curt, food well presented however bland, soft drink cost v expensive & service charge unnecessary. Doesn’t warrant such high prices I’m afraid. You can get better value for money at a number of other pasta & pizza restaurants around and about.
Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellWhat an enjoyable evening. The welcome and customer care throughout the whole of the time we were diners could not be questioned. Such a nice touch to have the owner come out of her busy kitchen and acknowledge us to say hello and ask how the service and meal was. The food was delightful, the different flavours that we encountered were amazing. Every bite was different - highly recommended would definitely come again and recommend friends and family !!
Prashad – BradfordVery very disappointing. I would never recommend it to anyone. I visited Prashad twice, first time when they were nominated on the Ramsay's best kitchen and then when they went through the first round. There was a vast difference in hospitality. On the second occasion I found the waiter to be indifferent. Food was also below average. We ordered Chats which were tasteless. The Paneer dish was burnt and the Aloo Gobi had more of Aloo and 3 tiny pieces of Gobi which had not been fried and were undercooked. I would never go back to Prashad again.
Prashad – BradfordSaw Prashad on Gordon Ramsay's Best Restaurants and knew we had to give it a try - being from Bradford and loving curries! Not only is the food outstanding, the welcome from "mummy" was so warm and sincere, a lovely lady. Good luck to you all for the next round, we'll be watching! :)
Prashad – BradfordMy hubby and i visited The fish pan last month and i had the best piece of fish i have ever had in my life. Great value for money and fast friendly efficient service. 10/10
The Fish Pan – ScarboroughNot having booked we were seated in the new area created by Prashad closing down their deli. It was a little bit too cosy (cramped!) almost sharing a table and our conversation with strangers. The service was excellent though, quick and the waiters helpful and informative. A starter of pickles and popadoms was very good (although this is often free at other similar establishments). The mixed platter of deep-fried savoury's was OK but nothing special. My main was likewise if not a bit bland and the accompanying nan was undercooked and doughy. Would I eat there again? Perhaps not!
Prashad – BradfordI am finding it difficult to add negative comments to all the previous positive reviews but feel some balance is needed here. Yes, the poppodams and chutneys are great, well presented BUT the rest was disappointing considering the rave reviews from Gordon Ramsey and others. I don't think it was an off night. Staff great no problems there, seating however is terribly crowded and it felt that I was sharing a table with the people next to me. The mixed starter tasted very oily and same-y- everything except the spiced cake was deep fried much to my disappointment and I was surprised to see spring rolls on the menu - are these Indian cuisine? My main course was disappointing - tinned petit pois in the pea curry which makes my heart sink especially when fresh peas are in profusion at present. The naan bread was very doughy and disappointing. My partner who will be commenting separately was also disappointed. I have travelled extensively in India and this did not feel like Indian street food. I live locally and was expecting more, I will come back once more to see if this restaurant can redeem itself in my eyes. I have experienced much better Indian food here and abroad and cannot say that this is the best I have ever had, I am a vegetarian and was looking forward to great food but alas it did not hit the spot - sorry Prashad
