Bleikers At The Malt Shovel – HarrogateStopped in York for my Mothers 60th birthday 12/13 March 2010. Six of us descended yet again on the Viceroy. Prebooked table, good job as very busy at 7.30 on a Friday night. Food still as good as I remember from a couple of years ago. Mixed kebabs, onion Bhajis and fish tikkas for starters, vindaloos, mixed tandoori and vegetable curries for main, naan bread, six kingfishers and two bottles of house wine only £123.00 for six of us. Quality of food excellent even though the restaurant was so busy. All the staff are courteous and friendly. Highly recommended. Next time I am in York I will be back !!
Viceroy Of India The – Yorkwaited a hour and a half for a table then another hour for food but they brought main meal out and put it under a light bulb there were 9 of us so food was going cold then 20 mins later our starters came and were cold we eventually refused the meals and had to wait again for meals. i will never visit this place again it was my 40th birthday and they spoilt it. the date i went was 27th feb 2010
Frankie and Bennys – Leeds City CentreMother's Day. We make it a point to come here to celebrate. Minal had put on a special Mother's Day Platter: Paneer Pakoras but being vegan we opted for the aubergine fritters instead; spinach and potato bondas; special vegetable samosas and baby spring rolls. We had a masala dosa and Kaushy's famous chick-pea chole with puris. The sambar was pure ambrosia! It was truly a meal to savour.
Prashad – BradfordAs fantastic as the food and service is at Akbars i must say that you fancy a nice relaxed atmosphere then DONT go here. This place caters for large groups and the dining room can become EXTREMELY noisy when its busy. You may need ear plugs to cope with the noise of everyone shouting over each other. The food is however faultless and service fantastic. If you are in a small group then visit the other Akbars in Leeds, you wont be disappointed!!!
Akbars – Leeds City CentreWhat can i say. China Chef is the best Chinese take-away in the world. Every dish is cooked to restaurant standard and i am yet to be disappointed (and have been a regular customer for 15 years!!!) The Chilli & Sakt Squid starter is mind blowing, watch out for the chillis though, they are small but pack a real punch!!! The Yung Chow Fried Rice and Singapore Noodles are exquisite as is everthing else. BEWARE!!! ONCE YOU SAMPLE THE FOOD YOU WILL BE HOOKED FOR LIFE!!!

Millbank Arms, The – RichmondWe went for Christmas Dinner this year and can truly say that it MADE our Christmas. In all my life (58 years) I have NEVER had Christmas lunch out but I needn't have worried. The meal was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Not only was there an excellent choice of dishes and excellent quality of food, but portions were a good size and several courses, coffee and mince pies and even crackers to pull really made it a special occasion. Thank you all at the Cross Keys.
The Keys – BarnsleyIt was our wedding anniversary yesterday and when deciding where to go for a meal Prashad was top of the list. Wow!!!! just like previous visits to this fantastic restaurant we sampled great tasting food (working our way through the entire menu) and our hosts the Patel brothers were on their usual top form making us feel very welcome. They even surprised us with a complimentary desert (Indian carrot cake and ice cream) and it was delicious -thank you very much. We have a 30 mile round trip to eat at Prashad and said that if it was around the corner from our house we would be there every day.
