Prashad – BradfordEaten at mumtaz and akbars and loads of restaurants such as Indian palace but bollywood is the best in 30 years of eating curries
Bollywood Lounge – WakefieldHi my partner and i all ways visit you every 3 weeks as his family live in scarbrough as we travel from Northampton , we recommend this to any one who is staying in scarborough for there holidays regards Claire
Scalby Manor – ScarboroughWas visiting the area and had been recommended by a regular customer of raffles to try the food because it was very very good quality food and very good value for the money.. We visited the restaurant on an evening... It was a very warm and welcoming feeling as soon as you walked through the door..they couldn't help enough.. It was very busy and we thought we would be waiting a long time for our meal it was so good service and didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes between our meal... We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives or visits Bridlington.. I would say one it's the best!!
Raffles Restaurant – BridlingtonCannot fault the quality of the food and service at The Royal Spice,.We have been eating at the restaurant for a few years now and I would strongly recommend it. The staff are very helpful and you can also deviate away from the menu and ask for something bespoke to your own taste as I did the last time. I booked my family in for Christmas dinner in 2009 and they do NOT inflate the prices which I think is superb. I had my 40th birthday party there hiring the big room the evening and food was faultless. 11/10.
Royal Spice, The – Barnsleyakbars , is fab love it the custom is best of all everyone is very polite and nice the food hhmmmmm is brill and the price is reasonable, and is the best restaurant on leeds rd and the whole of bradford akbars all the way !!!
Akbars Balti Restaurant – BradfordI thought it was very disappointing!! We all returned our starters and even though they replaced them the second lot were barely an improvement and most of us did not even try to eat them. The main courses were edible but nothing like we expected from the descriptions on the website. We only ordered one dessert and no one liked it. I would not go back. The staff were very friendly but it did not make up for the horrible food. I suppose I should have known that it would be unlikely that it would be good as it is 5 years since they won the award!!!
Saffron Desi – MorleyI visit this restaurant nearly every week, and can really recommend it. It has increased the price of your other commendations, but it is still quite reasonable from £5 to £6 pounds on a lunch time. Also there are always several Chinese people in, so cant be bad.
Desaru Malaysian and Chinese Restaurant – HullCalled in there for Sunday lunch at the weekend. The place wasn't busy but we had to wait a while for the food to arrive. When it did, it was excellent. All home cooked with tastiest meat I've had for a long time - well worth the wait and all at a reasonable price.
Brown Cow Inn – BradfordCalled into the Potting Shed recently after a tip off from a friend who recommended it following a recent change in ownership of the place. I was very impressed! The weather was cold, but the welcome was warm - and the food was heavenly! I visited around midday on Sunday; some were having brunch (which looked yummy - shame I had already had breakfast!), some were making a start on lunch and others had simply called in mid-'ramble' (or even mid-horseride!) for a coffee and pastry by the warmth of the roaring fire. I was there for lunch: Fish and chunky home made chips for me, roast duck sandwich for another, home made burger for another (the size of it!!), and beautifully made fish cakes for the last of us. The portions were hearty and the presentation was amazing, and this was furthermore extended to the desserts (where you'll struggle to choose just one!). I also took the opportunity to check out the Potting Shed's set menu for the evenings running up to Christmas and made a booking there and then for the extended family (amazingly priced by the way!). I cannot wait to return in December.
Rileys at the Potting Shed – BarnsleyMe and my partner are huge fans of Indian cuisine and were very dubious about whether we would enjoy a vegetarian option. My partner is a self-confessed carnivore who believed 'a meal is not a meal without meat in it'. We were lucky enough to take part in the first round of the competition in 'Ramsay's Best Restaurant' and were members of the 30 strong coach trip of diners who descended on Prashad for a 2-course meal. To say we were blown away is an understatement! The food here is absolutely second to none and is by far the best Indian Cuisine that we have ever eaten. My partner did a complete turn around and openly admits that meat is not missed. Everything prepared is so fresh, flavours are well balanced, everything we had was delicious. I highly recommend the Special Chaat for starter and the Vegetable Handi, Chole or Aubergine and Pea Curry for main - delicious. The staff make you feel warm and welcome, headed up by owner and front of house Bobby along with his Mother and Wife, Chefs, Kaushy and Minal. I have since visited a further two times and plan to continue.
Prashad – BradfordDiva Italiana is without doubt the find of our eating out experience! FANTASTIC in every single way, .....food, service, atmosphere, price, taste, experience, location......the whole lot! Before going here we never ate Italian out....we always thought my wife could cook as well........we've now been back 5 times in as many months....Mattia the owner makes you feel like his own family....he is so welcoming....he will cook anything you like if you give him notice....or even cook something different way if you require...like he did on our last visit with my wife's salmon dish. All the food is beautifully fresh and lots of it is sourced direct from Italy. It's spectacular, my mouth is watering thinking about it.......another visit beckons!!!
Diva Italiana – PudseyAte there last weekend. Standard of food & service A1 as usual. Brought in-laws who agree its the best Italian in the area. Seen request before for Crumble dessert which is now on menu, but please could we have a cheese board as most of the other desserts are a bit on the sweet side.
Bella Roma – WakefieldCame to Leeds for the day shopping with my mam and came across this place so decided to give it a go there was so much to choose from open the menu all home made too decided on the sampler 2 share and cheese board with a bottle of house white the food was absolutely fantastic and presentation great and the atmosphere in the place was lovely away from all the hustle and bustle of the city it was really cosy ended up staying for 2 hours wanted to try all the menu just wish this place was in middlesbrough would be here every week.and the staff were also very friendly.
The New Conservatory – Leeds City Centrewell done ladys for a fantastic tv show . i never been in your place to eat and ill love to, but its just to far for from essex where i leave right now but you never know :) well done again and looking forward to dinne in your place !!!!
Prashad – BradfordHad some business in Bradford Friday last so had decided to visit Prashad for lunch, was a bit worried that fame may have gone to their heads but not so - same great food and friendly service just as our last visit over a year ago.(see review 26th May 2009) you might forget the TV show but you will definitely not forget your visit to prashad.
Prashad – BradfordI visited some weeks ago, before the Gordon Ramsey tv appearance, and despite wanting a takeaway - I got the wrong entrance. I was filthy (in face and hands), im a mobile mechanic often attending broken down cars, yet I was welcomed and asked if I wanted to eat in. I couldn't say no, and used the facilities to clean myself up! I'm amazed by their attitude, their service, their food. My family thought I was exaggerating until they saw prashad on tv!
