Afternoon Tea at The Lounge, Hard Days Night. Excellent food and setting with excellent, but down to earth service. We were ordering 2 afternoon teas, but advised to just order 1, as there was ample on one for sharing. The waitress was right! The lemon cake was sensational! Also I'm on a limited diet at the moment, and there was no problem meeting my requirements. A second pot of tea was included in the price. Had booked it as a treat for a friend, but wont have any hesitation in calling in whenever in Liverpool

I ate at the Monro last week and was amazed at the quality of the food and the incredibly attentive staff. I can thoroughly recommend it as what you pay at some higher end places just does not compare. Am going again for the roast on Mothers Day and I can't wait as I'm intolerant to additives and the chefs don't put anything in their food that shouldn't be there. So I will be able to enjoy a totally chilled afternoon with my family. I'm hoping its warm enough for the beer garden, it truly is a little gem.

A fantastic Italian restaurant, I started going to the Casa as a student in 1982, and still love it. Great food, excellent service and good prices. Italian is my favourite food, and this is my favourite restaurant.

Its not often that I have such a poor experience n a restaurant that I feel the need to write about it.. however after visiting the Spice Lounge recently I do feel a complaint is justified. My wife and I ate here recently and found all aspects of this place rubbish. The curries are appalling, the service is indifferent and the cost is extortionate. For 2 starters 2 curries with rice and 3 cokes? £53. You can eat in the Malmaison for less. On top of that they slapped on a 10% service charge. It wouldn't be so bad if the food was good but it wasn't. My kebab starter was bland and dry and came with a brown (should have been green) salad. The curries were dreadful and tasted very synthetic. Avoid.

Without doubt, the Tai Pan is the most consistent Chinese restaurant in Liverpool for quality of food and its pricing is second to none. In every respect, it is the most outstanding Chinese restaurant within Merseyside. At one time in the past, Tai Pan had the most beautiful female receptionist (Mei). WOW!

My wife and i, stumbled across this Greek Cypriot Delicatessen supplier by pure accident . The man and his wife ,were so helpful and friendly to us. If we enquired about a food product ,they were not slow on giving us ,product knowledge information and advice. We are so pleased to see a Greek food supplier here ,in Central Liverpool . I recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Greek food and wine.

We went there 4th March 2011, and it was absolutely lovely.. the place is cosy, but the food and staff were amazing, we even had to ask for more bread to mop up our langoustine bisque which was so good we just couldn't let what was left on our plates go back to the kitchen, dessert was to die for aswell, all in all will defo go back there if we're in that neck of the woods again.

Six of us stayed in the hotel during January and had a most fantastic meal in The London Carriageworks. The menu was excellent and the six of us each thoroughly enjoyed all the courses we chose. It was such excellent value for money. We would certainly book to go the restaurant again. The hotel was very nice as well.

Truly amazing! Went today with my Mum for the Business Lunch, do not judge a book by its cover. The restaurant itself looks a little run down, especially in the shoddy Liverpudlian weather but the food was fantastic. We were in and out in about an hour, perfect for a quick lunch. The best Indian food I've had.

My partner and I went to this shambles of a restaurant last night, the food was terrible for starter my partner had mushroom soup and she said it seemed like it was out of a tin, we had duck for main and it was so hard the knife could barely cut through it, we then reluctantly asked for dessert hoping for some remittance but after asking for the creme brulee and crepes, after 5 minutes of thinking we would be getting food soon a waiter came to tell us there was no creme brulee and we would have to have something else, we changed that for profiteroles, it was all rubbish, the price was nearly £60, i was grinding my teeth whilst paying through them for a car crash of a tea, still one thing i could say good for them is that the complimentary fruit salad sweets at the end were very nice

well, they have the worst service ever. i went there with my wife and the waiter wanted to seat us on a table with plastic tree occupying most of it. we refused then we were seated in a better table. my wife ordered a coke, it was flat. we asked if they can change it, they did but i saw him pouring half of it in a new glass and add a fresh Coke to this half.

We went to Lunya for Coffee and Cake one afternoon. Excellent Cafe con leche and the Tarte de Santiago was heavenly, but the real draw was the chocolate truffle stuffed fig!! Divine! I would recommend this friendly restaurant as the atmosphere was calm and staff attentive and food so heavenly we went back the next week!
