have enjoyed previous experiences at this restaurant i was eager to return. for starters i had the smoked salmon, good portion well presented, main was free range chicken, extremely good portion (half a chicken) cooked to perfection but none of the accomplishments were anything to write home about. Dessert was bread and butter pudding with marmalade ice-cream which I didn't enjoy and left. Quite an average meal really which did disappoint me

Went to La Tasca and being Tapas virgins opted for the set meat selection. All the dishes were fabulous and we will defo be eating here again. Service was very good and the staff friendly and attentive.

The dim sum is nice, the shallow fried dumplings, har gau and prawn siu mai are definitely recommended. One thing though, there is a rude waiter working there, don't know his name but he is a Chinese(kinda short and with glasses).I would have fire him if I'm the person in charge, his attitude just doesn't suit the service industry, not humble, and very rude.

My favourite Indian restaurant (or just fave restaurant!) in Liverpool, and I've tried them all many times. Excellent, tasty, wholesome, unpretentious food every single time. Very very cheap too, their prices have been the same for about 8 or 9 years I reckon, amazing given its location. Friendly staff, cozy private booths, good drink selection, cheap takeaway service. The best in Liverpool!

Fantastic food and lovely, relaxing atmosphere. We have known the owner for years, loved his first restaurant but this is better. We are always made to feel extremely welcome. Lou and Dom.

Great little restaurant, service was great for such a small cute place. Recommend booking as by half8pm the place was packed out with people waiting for tables aswell. For 2 people for 3 courses it was £70 with wine and nibbles too. All in all good value and duck was beautiful. House red was great too. Recommended

We went to Osqa on Tuesday night 27/1/2009 and had the early evening special; ham hock terrine starter with roast lamb main course and it was fab. The service was great, not intrusive, but attentive, food was lovely and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal at an exceptionally reasonable price.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was 15 I'm almost 25 now so that's a long time the service is still incredible as are the ever welcoming staff I never feel rushed and the food is always to a beautiful standard I would say that it is THE best restaurant in Liverpool.

Enjoyed a lovely meal early doors Saturday, the early dining menu was great value, the sea bass was delicious, my husbands burger looked fabulous, no minced beef in there it was ground steak. Our daughter had the chicken ghoujons from the kids menu and there was enough to feed 3 kids, she thoroughly enjoyed them and the staff were fantastic with her. It's lovely to go somewhere that is not too stuffy for families. We would definitely return. On the negative, took three goes to get correct bill but it would definitely not put me off.

Reasonably cheap, nice atmosphere, relaxed, friendly staff although more of a casual place. Definitely would go back though.

Fantastic food, good value, relaxing atmosphere, although not sure whether I enjoyed sharing a table but everything else made it. I would definitely go back and have recommended it several times :0)

We have eaten at Puschka several times and each time the food and service has been second to none. Best place to eat in Liverpool without a doubt.

This was my first visit to Tai Pan after hearing rave reviews about it. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It was cheap low quality food at over exorbitant prices. The clientele was rough to say the least. The standard of service was poor. I cant ever remember being served salad cream as a dip accompaniment to any Chinese meal. The bill with non- alcoholic drinks for me and my son was not far short of £90 I would not make any recommendation for anyone who has experienced and likes good Chinese food in other places to go to tai Pan and i certainly would not be parting with my hard earned cash there

It seems a shame to read such a great review but to experience the reality was a major disappointment. The venue was lovely, a piano bar restaurant, Friday night, pay day, peak hour, shame there was no pianist to bring the piano alive to add any ambiance, in fact that was the problem there was no atmosphere. The staff were very miserable and seemed to blend in the background never there to give any form of reasonable service. As we arrived at about 9.15pm we sat at the bar only to be given menus for the food?!?! Out of a group of 20 our final meal came at 11.15pm, this wouldn't have been so bad but all the while no-one expressed any concern or reassurance and as we waited around staff cleared tables and lights went off giving the uncomfortable feeling that maybe everyone simply wanted to just hurry us up and go home. The food actually wasnt too bad, not the best, certainly not premium quality..in summary a restaurant with bags of potential, great venue, no atmosphere, miserable incompetent staff and absolutely no level of service to warrant a 2nd visit, the saving grace was 20% off the bill!!

Incredible food! The only Indian restaurant in Liverpool offering authentic South Idndian Keralan cuisine. My partner and I opted for the Fish Molly @ 6.95 with 2 large steaks of kingfish soaked in a gravy of finely sliced ginger, green chillies, vinegar and freshly squeezed coconut milk - fragrant, fresh and light. We also had the Beet Cheera Pachadi @ a bargain £4.95 full of fresh spinach, beet root and thick yogurt sauce of garlic, tomato, red pepper with mustard seeds and curry leaves - again light and delicious. With food this genuine and healthy there is no reason why other Indian restaurants cannot follow suit instead of the all too common dishes swimming in fat! Possibly the freshest and tastiest Indian take aways we've eaten. Highly recommended. *****

I booked a private room for my Hen Night on the 17th January 2009. The room was great and it was set up to be a great night. Unfortunately the service was awful as the restaurant was woefully understaffed. The waiter we had did his best - but because he had so many other rooms to look after, we were always waiting for drinks or food. We made the best of it - but I wouldn't recommend it unless they solve the staffing problem.

I've spent about 10 minutes sitting here trying to word just how brilliant I think Etsu is! All I can say is that you MUST go and try it for yourself! I've been going there for many months and I can't fault it at all. The staff are very friendly and we now like to act as guinea pigs for any new dishes they've come up with! My Mum particularly enjoys the Gyozas and Edamame and gets 'withdrawal symptoms' when we haven't been for a few weeks. If you are a fan of sushi, I also highly recommend the chefs special platter. It's very clever and so tasty! They have clearly put alot of thought into their food, and I don't just mean the visual presentation; they have also tried to keep it close to Japanese tradition. I recommend Etsu for to anyone :)
