We have been to the Chung Ku three times over a two year period and each time we have been disappointed. The service we have received is exemplary and cannot be faulted. But the food Chung Ku serves is simply overrated, the last occasion we were served cold boiled rice, the meals were either too salty or too sweet and some of our soups were lukewarm. The Chung Ku is inconsistent at best and at times very poor. Marks for service - 10/10 Marks for quality of food served - 5/10

truly awful pub. overpriced (£2.67p!!) crap ale served in plastic "glasses" for your pleasure as you sit and enjoy the river views. food driven "family pub" serving the usual overpriced muck. disgraceful. the toilets stank too. next time you want to chill by the river, bring your own picnic and be blown away by the spectacular sunset.

On phoning to book a table at OSQA I was told the 3 course early bird was £10.95 and it was served until 8.00pm. On our arrival we found it cost £14.95 and finished at 7.00pm! Lucky enough we arrived to eat before 7.00pm. My friend and I enjoyed our night out the atmosphere was brilliant, the panio entertainment was very good. The food was hot, well presented and very tasty, but I did think the portions were very small. Beware veg is extra and at £3.50 for a small bowl... well bit overpriced! But all that said it is a great restaurant and a lovely location and would recommend it.

One of the nicest places I have been for a while. A bellini at the bar whilst you are waiting (£7.10) or a glass of pink champagne. Nice touch to have a card to run up a bar bill to add to your food bill. Our party had steaks (delicious), salmon fish cakes (big hit with us), a choice of fries or proper chips and some excellent mash. The service was prompt but not intrusive, the atmosphere was really buzzing and the private dining rooms look just the place for a party! As you can tell by now, it's a hit with me.

The food simply does not compare with the service we received. The service was excellent but the food was extremely disappointing. The boiled rice was cold, roasted meats hard and chewy, sweetcorn soup lukewarm and the rest of our meals were either too salty or too sweet. The Chung Ku is vastly overrated and there will be no more visits from our party of ten. We wanted to complain but decided not to cause a scene. It may have been an off day for their chefs but we have dine in the Chung Ku three times and the food has been mediocre at best and for our last visit was downright appalling.

We went on our way home from the opening of Liverpool 1, it was good food, with nice vegetarian options, and although it wasn't the right night for the regular promotion it was still good value, and we will be going on a Wednesday for the £12.95 with wine deal. Very pleased with this place.A good find!

Excellent food from a great chef. My particular fav is Minted Lamb Burger. Fish is really good and the Onion Rings are perfectly cooked.

This place is a little gem. Great food and great atmosphere. Massive portions for bargain prices. Don't expect to be in there long, although you're not pressured to leave, the food comes mighty fast and you're in and out before u know it! Would definitely recommend.

I've dined here a few times now and have always found it to be good value for money. However, I've had a bad experience today. I found a hair on my plate. I discretely pointed it out to the waitress. Another waitress came back and said that although they would replace the meal, no-one in the kitchen had short blonde hair. In fact, the hair was dark brown/black. My hair is short blonde and she suggested it was one of mine. The hair was definitely not blonde and the guest I was dining with agreed with me. The waitress was quite rude. I think she thought I was trying to get a discount, which was most certainly not the case.

We went to The Monro for our 1st anniversary as we heard it had a great reputation. We were not disappointed, food was amazing, cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly. A perfect evening was rounded off with cocktails, we will definitely be visiting this place again!

I can't recommend this place highly enough! The food in here is such a great change from the usual chicken tikka massala. You need to book if you want to go at the weekend, unless you are going early. The decor is slightly worn, but the food is amazing! Fantastic selection of different breads, many of which I'd never had before going here, and a good selection of veggie meals. It's definitely not for after six pints on the way home! Make this your first stop!

I have finally found a place to eat in great surrounding and feel like I'm on holiday. We visited Mayur last week, for dinner after work with friends. Because of the warm weather we were able to dine outside in the square. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, and eating outside was definitely a huge bonus. The food is by far the best indian I have eaten in Liverpool and compares to the top restaurants in London. Service was very good and the waiting staff knew a lot about the menu. I ate the seabass which was perfect, just right for the warm weather. My friend does not really like curries, so ordered a couple of their grilled starters which were excellent. All in all - a great experience - deffo recommend it.

Recently came across this restaurant from friends suggestions. We found the place an excellent choice for eating and a great variation in meals. The staff were very cooperative and friendly which made the evening an eventful one.

I had a lovely meal at Etsu last week and was very surprised. I have eaten sushi in a lot of places around the world and I can honestly say that it is delicious at Etsu. The service was very good, attentive but not too much. The atmosphere is relaxed. I would definitely recommend going here! Price vs quality is excellent. PS: Try the chef's platter, it is gorgeous!
