Reviews in Liverpool City Centre

Went there after reading quite good reviews and was sorely disappointed. Staff could not be bothered, place looked tired. Went there to play games with my kids but consoles were either not working or generally broken. Staff were more involved in making their own dinner and talking between themselves. After 20 minutes, nobody even checked whether we wanted drinks or food. Absolutely dire, so we left and went to a place on Bold Street which was much more welcoming. If I were you take your money elsewhere rather than this place where staff just do not give a toss.

Had a wonderful meal as always at Ma Egertons last night, with my sister after seeing a show at the empire. The food and service was fantastic and all staff are so friendly and helpful. Just a lovely place to visit

A little disappointing considering it was a Thursday afternoon and booked for a birthday. We waited over 25 minutes for someone to even take our drink order and they only did because we ended up asking somebody.

As always food, service and atmosphere great can fully recommend for a pre theatre meal xx

Love this place! Been 3 times now. Food is great and the prices are really good. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean ….. oh, and the Malbec is fab!

The place is tired and most games don’t work, the board games are mostly trashed and you’re unable to play them. The food was good value for money though!

Nice food would recommend. BUT the atmosphere not great- waited to be seated a while and couldn’t wait for us to finish and take our plates from us when half of the table where still eating.

Lovely food, really nice decor and good service. Complementary brownies at the end are a nice touch but we'd have preferred if this was just factored into the meal price instead, especially as we were already very full when they arrived. Only negative I'd say was that all couples were grouped tightly together in a small section of the restaurant despite there being plenty room elsewhere.

I was disappointed with my experience at what's cooking. Firstly, my daughter ordered a lager shandy which tasted awful then I ordered a house burger which had a massive long hair going through it. It was changed but it put me off eating my replacement meal

Lovely food, thoughtful service and great value. Pork souvlaki was succulent, chips were ridiculously good and my wife was delighted with the wide range of vegetarian small plates but especially the cheese croquettes. Our only problem was being a bit too full to enjoy the complimentary chocolate brownies at the end!

Excellent food and service Food was delicious and hot and the service was very attentive Water on the table before we even requested, followed by complimentary brownies at the end.

Myself, husband and two children were visiting Liverpool for the weekend. The staff were friendly, food was amazing, value for money. Would definitely recommend and visit again next time we are in Liverpool.
