Had a great night at San Carlo the other night, went out for a staff party to celebrate one of their birthdays. It was a great atmosphere and the staff was very helpful seeing as there was a fair few of us. All of our food came out at the same time, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Great place.

Beer garden is south liverpools hidden gem, still have a bowling green thats get used. all in all best local round here. only downside, bins on front need emptying a bit more regulary.

My brothers and I are geographically separated (Newcastle, Cardiff and Liverpool) and this is our venue of choice when we convene in our hometown. We have no hesitation in recommending it to you. The food is of a consistently high quality (both meat and vegetarian) - we have never left the premises disappointed. Salads are crisp, clean and fresh and main courses are tasty and filling. The service is attentive, helpful and considerate. We have enjoyed family occasions here and will be back again when future visits to Liverpool coincide.

I had the steak which was cooked medium to perfection starters were nice and very tasty. I would highly recommend this venue plus the puddings were Delicious. What a fabulous venue - stunningly beautiful views of the River Mersey, early sunshine glinting of the water, then the lights from the Wirral reflecting in the dark. Food was the best I have had for a very long time (absolutely delicious); staff were wonderful, happy and friendly. Please do not hesitate to visit - I will certainly be going back again and again.
