we went for a meal early on tuesday evening so it was a bit quite , the place it's self was nice and clean , warm and well set out , the service was good and our waiter"big george" was very welcoming and attentive through out our meal , the food was very nice , the plates were hot which meant the food was aswell i can't fault the place and will return again . I don't know were it gets the top award from as its not outstanding but is well priced and the food was of a good stanard if this is the best others need to up their game .

Went for a birthday celebration, we were a party of 9 . Everything was fantastic. Best cheesy garlic bread ever. All meals came together and were hot. Will certainly return.

Delightful bar lounge and restaurant in St Helens, serving high end food with excellent service. The menu is brief but offers good variety supplemented by quality sides. We didn’t try the desserts but the cheese board was very good. Good bar which is generally unusual for restaurants, all in all very worth the visit

Been coming here for 40 plus years never been disappointed we had salt and pepper ribs to start and my wife had king prawn chow mien and I had duck and char Sui chowmein piping hot and service top drawer

Visited on Saturday 18th Jan with parents to celebrate my birthday on 19th. Food excellent and Malbec was great ! Thanks Simon for the tester of Estrella Galicia ! Service attentive without being overbearing. Only slight criticism was draught with being close to door as people stand in foyer with inner and outer doors open ! Will certainly be back.

Best meal I’ve had in a long time.

Food was lovely, however our meal for two was spoilt by: Starters: one was served then we had to chase the second after waiting 10 mins. Mains: 45 mins after the starters were finished we had to chase the mains. When they were finally delivered part of the order was wrong. At no point were we asked if our food was ok or an apology given for the extremely poor service. Nice food but let down badly by the service and rude staff.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was incredible, the staff were lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy. Have been recommending it to anyone who will listen since.
