Royal Hotel – WaterlooLove Tapas x
Tapas Tapas – WaterlooWe had a birthday celebration with all the family (12) and we all thought the food and staff were great. will be returning shortly and would recommend it for the its location, menu and atmosphere. I thought it was nice to be greeted by the aroma of food being cooked on the open BQ. Everyone in our party ordered something different so we could sample most of the menu and we were all happy with the courses on offer. Also, we booked the upstairs room which has a bar and it made things much easier for ordering extra drinks!!!
Elif – ChildwallThis is first time visit after refurbishment, nicely done, old style, warm and comfortable. Had soup and bread ( thick tasty lentil ) followed by Old spot bangers and Bubble and Sqeak ((Mash with cabbage ) with tasty onion gravy and fried onions. washed down with a pint...All in £15 Food was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Menu was basically pub food at a reasonable price, staff were pleasant and friendly, enjoyed it and will go again.
The Freshfield – FormbyTo the Manager, I wish to give positive & negative feedback, I visited your restaurant yesterday 10th Feb 2013, under the name Karen Long - 4pm,X3. The food was good quality, but I was suprised to see the bread was stored in a large plastic clear box, normally used for storage use. The main meal and desert were of good quality. My main concern was the lack of interest the waitresses had with service, almost ever contact we had with the waitresses was poor, lights being turned low whilst eating, without candle being lighted on our table, drinks being put across my sister as she was eating, there was a general lack of care. Also being informed we had to be finished by 5:45 as soon as we sat down, this made me feel unwelcome. I do not wish to be offered any discount or apoloigy as I will not be visiting your restaurants again. Also when leaving the restaraunt my party of three walked passed X4 members of staff & not one said thankyou or goodbye. Very disappointing visit to a nice resturant.
Bistro Franc – Liverpool City CentreThe best indian in formby. I was recommended by a friend to try Zyka . It was friday night I took my girlfrend with me for her birthday and all I can say to everyone is try Zyka. You wont be disappointed, it was the best curry I ever had. My girlfriend was so pleased that I choose zyka for her birthday. I recommend everyone to try Zyka.
Zyka – FormbyVisited Chilli Banana last Saturday and was so disappointed. The food is now so bland it does not deserve the "Thai" description. Either that or there was a serious shortage of Chilli in Liverpool that night.. My wifes Thai soup was like dish water and the beef salad was as chewy as a rubber duck and no heat in it at all. We are not great cooks, but our home made beef salad, would knock spots of what was served up.Maybe we are being a bit fussy, but I got the impression that Chilli Banana is a victim of its own success and they could not wait to get us off our table so more money could be extracted from punters.Siam Garden for me next time, much nicer.
Chilli Banana – AigburthFantastic food, great venue, brilliant staff!
Hanover Street Social – Liverpool City CentreWent on the 2 feb 2013 food not as good as recent visits, drinks very exspensive.
Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonFood and service outstanding, best italian in liverpool
Santino Ristorante Caffetteria – WavertreeVisited Ambuja for the first time with my friends just recently and have to say it Definitly won't be my last visit. Decor is very stylish and modern, has to be the best looking restaurant I've been to so far and I have been to many! Waiters were very friendly and polite, didn't have to wait ages for my food. And when It did come it was just pure heaven, very tasty and the presentation excellent. Would recommend to anyone!
Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallModern restaurant with good food, reasonably priced with friendly, polite staff. Set meal for 4 with bottle of wine, 6 beers, 4 coffees @ £109.00. Best to book ahead at weekend. Would visit again for the ribs and crispy duck alone!
Eastern Diner – Mossley HillWent for the first time last night to this restaurant, food was amazing, wide choice of menu and reasonable prices, lovely service by the staff and not long to wait for your food, enjoyable night had and will definitely be visiting very soon again!!
Blue Wave Indian Restaurant – AintreeHaving dined at Chans for over 20 years I would say the experience I get everytime is 2nd to none the food is always fresh and taste's fantastic, Charlie and Loi are always very welcoming hosts and go out of their way to help with any needs you have, I do advise that you book your tables especially for the weekend as is does get busy,I look foward to each time I eat out with the wife even more so when its chans.
Mr Chans – St.HelensWent to UnI the other day for the first time and it probably be my last. Liked the idea of the little booths n our waiter was very friendly. The letdown was the food. Ordered chicken chaat for starter and that was decent, good size.Main I ordered a prawn madras n my friend ordered a chicken dupiaza. Both meals were horrible, had no taste to them n just looked like thick gunge. The cutlery was also quite sticky as was my drinks glass. Was quite disappointed won't be going there again.
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreWe went to The Side Door on 22nd January. The staff were really lovely and welcoming, and the food was brilliant, their home made celeriac and pear soup was fantastic, delicate and tasty, with the goats cheese crostini a thoughtful touch, and the hand cut chips ..... I could go on and on, but enough said, great staff, great food, lovely surroundings in the heart of Hope Street.
The Side Door – Liverpool City CentreHad a great meal at the refurbished restaurant tonight. Very polite and helpful service, excellent curries with a wide selection of items on the menu - highly recommended.
Thai Rice – SouthportI ate at selam cafe for the second time this evening and again, the food did not disapoint! We ordered an array of different meat and vegetarian dishes including Goden tibs (lamb ribs) a traditional dish of minced lamb offal and meat (Dulet) a spicy red lentil dish (misir wot) and a very tasy spinach dish (Gomen Wot). Most dishes come served with the traditional injera pancakes, which are crumpet like in texture, slightly sour and perfect accompanied with the delicious home cooked food on offer. Another must have is the previously mentioned honey wine, very sweet and utterly delicious, smell of pure liquid honey. The hot spiced tea is also lovely. I am saving the coffee ceremony for my next visit. The informal, no frills laid back atmosphere makes for a perfect easy destination for a delicious and good value meal.
