Went looking for a Turkish restaurant close to Huyton and found this beauty. Food was amazing and we ended up staying for over 3 hours just talking to the staff about food and Turkey. Great atmosphere and would recommend to anyone looking for something new or authentic Turkish food. 5 Stars guys!

If you enjoy Persian food and have not yet experienced this hidden gem then you’re seriously missing out. I give the Azagros, London Road, Liverpool a 5 star award. The restaurant is simple yet tastefully elegant in its decor and the food, staff and level of service were absolutely excellent. I visited with family (party of six) on 24th May 2012 and ordered a selection of starters and main courses which were all delicious...... unfortunately we were all too full to try my favourite dessert of Baklava ;-( next time without doubt. I would highly recommend the Bakhtiari a main barbecued dish of (one skewer of lamb fillet or marinated chicken with one skewer of minced lamb with red peppers, onions and grilled tomato all served on a bed of saffron basmati rice or chips) is a must have...... the meat was very succulent and very tender! Other dishes to consider would be the Mirza Ghasemi a starter of (smoked aubergines, garlic, egg and tomato served with naan. And the Ghorma Sabzi a main dish consisting of (parsley, leek, herbs, kidney beans, lamb meat and dried lime served with basmati rice. The Azagros has now been added to my list of favourite restaurants and I’d recommend anybody with a love of Persian food to seriously check this place out!

We eat there last night. Food good, great staff & service, prices not too bad. Presentation is not everything but, I think this is why we wont be back for a while.

Just ordered chicken biryani and garlic naan bread £7.80. Lots of bland rice, 6 small pieces of chicken, curry sauce ok-ish and naan bread had occasional flecks of tasteless "garlic" but no garlic flavour. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't order again.

Very nice meal. Very friendly staff. Went on a Monday night fairly quiet but had a very relaxed time and was not rushed out of our seat.

I love this restaurant. We have been many times and the food is always gorgeous. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Recommended! There is a nice pub nearby also called The Monro.

Been here a few times for various occasions, with husband, family, friends and even kids. I'm quite fussy over food but I have never had a bad meal and have never had reason to fault a thing. Food is amazing. Well priced and definitely for the early bird deals. Ideal if you don't want to hike into town and want fantastic food, good atmosphere and overall good little night out :-D

Where do I start, the food is fabulous, fresh vegetables and yes it's hot, My friend ordered Chicken Fajitas on a sizzling plate and I had the Lasagne which was still piping hot when I got to my last fork-full, the service was exceptional , you are even give a complimentary drink , which has never happened to me before, will definitely be returning in a few weeks

We visited this restaurant on recommendation from a few people. I was delighted to see an open kitchen were you could see your food being cooked in front of you on the fabulous charcoal barbecue. I actually spent more time watching the chef cook the food than talking to my wife LOL. The food was outstanding and the service we got was second to none, I will be returning in the near future and i would recommend it to anyone. 5 STAR.

The new Christakis is every bit as good as the town Centre one, but thank goodness much nearer ( Within walking distance). The portions are huge and the meat cooked to perfection, the house wine is delicious and very affordable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and children are welcomed with open arms. This is a restaurant to celebrate all family events. Highly recommended

This is the place to go when you want to re capture the memory of THAT holiday in the sun. It was a cold rainy day when I walked in to this restaurant. Inside it was warm, cosy, welcoming, clean (and that was only the porch!) I only had £15 in my purse and looking at the menu in the window knew that I would have enough for a Psiton. (£12.95) I was greeted like a long lost friend and escorted to a table. Having placed my order, I didn't have long to wait before my food arrived. My heart sank as the PLATES arrived:a basket of fresh bread, a large bowl of salad with , enough veg for 10 a day, a dish of tasty rice,and the main dish: an enormous piece of lamb, beautifully cooked. with, among other things, 3 very large potatoes. I am NOT a potato person but oh boy! these were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. (HOW DO THEY COOK THEM LIKE THIS?) When I had devoured all before me the waiter brought a small plate of mixed fresh fruit. From time to time, various waiters would discreetly enquire if everything was to my satisfaction, and d'you know what? they asked as if they genuinely cared. The moment of truth when my bill came. The weary cynic expected there to be extras added ; the fruit, the veg, but the surprise; my bill was exactly as it should have been: £12.95! I came away just knowing that Christakis is going to be a regular eating place for me and my friends. If you'd like to find the equivalent of the American Cheers bar, but in Liverpool, go pay a visit to Christakis. I promise, you won't be disappointed. Sylviebee

fantastic suburban restaurant just a few miles from the city, we ate in the restaurant but will be back for barfood (only 2 meals for ten pounds we will give it a go next time we are in the area) The restaurant was decorated beautifully in a kind of modern Gothic purple with lovely set tables complete with charger plates and modern glasses. We where given complimentary marinated olives and bread whilst looking at the menu. I chose the smoked pate and my partner the black pudding. the pate actually came out smoking and my partners black pudding was topped with a "deepfried" egg. This Was a kind of breadcrumbed parcel that exploded with yolk when cut into...Fantastic! The main courses where equally as good My partner having the lamb shank and my self the Wild Seabass. Amazing value at only £14-£15 for both course

Lovely food, reasonable prices and friendly but unobtrusive service. Would recommend getting a table near the BBQ so you can watch your food being cooked amongst the sparks from the coals - think all restaurants should have open kitchens like this so nothing is hidden. Will defo be going back.
