Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City CentreCasa Mia, west Kirby, the best Italian food on Merseyside.......would recommend it to anyone
this is an exceptional Indian restaurant. The whole dining experience is marvelous from start to finish. The setting is contemporary but cosy and the service attentive without being overbearing. The owner making special effort to speak to each guest himself. The menu is extensive and offers something different for everyone with a wide selection of seafood dishes not usually found in an Indian restaurant side by side with more traditional offerings. You will probably never need another restaurant again! The Blue mango is quite rightly very popular and booking is required - especially at weekends.
Blue Mango Restaurant – PrescotHad Sunday lunch there yesterday. The Sunday brunch menu was a roast or a meaty breakfast (no veggie) -you could also order off the main lunch menu if you asked but we weren't given the menu initially. The fire alarm went off several times while we were there which wasn't great. However the food was fine - good portions and all fresh and tasty - and the staff were helpful and apologetic so we're putting any probs down to teething issues. Nice and relaxed - will go back.
Pioneer Bar and Brasserie – Crosbywhat a place!! Was at their restaurant launch on Thursday!! looked after by a hot Irish hostess called Kim who knew her wines and knew what to recommend off their excellent menu. She sold schmooze as a cutting edge friendly and very classy joint!! Definitely recommend!!
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley HillI visited this restaurant with my work colleagues one Monday lunchtime. There were ten of us, and I too though there had been a mistake with the price! This restaurant is well worth the money; the food is excellent and the service great. In a city where there is a huge choice of restaurants, Bistro Jacques comes top of my list!
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreIf you want a massive breakfast that's fairly cheap (and nice!) this is the place to come.
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthWent to Kozi last week and found it to be excellent all round. A great looking restaurant with very friendly staff. I had the steak and my friend had the chicken, both delicious. Puddings were tasty too! I will definitely go there again! Keep up the good work boys!
Kozi – PrescotMy recommendation for this restaurant would be not to to eat there. My partner and I went last night and ordered two simple main course fish and chips and a burger. The meals took 50 minutes to arrive at our table, and when they did, the burger was completely dried out and solid (could hardly cut through it) and the toasted bun had obviously been in the microwave. The waiter took the meals away, and whilst he offered a replacement free of charge, at no time did the manager have the courtesy (or perhaps courage) to come and apologise. The service and the food were of great disappointment, and as we were held up finding somewhere else to eat, we were unable to get to the cinema in time for the film we wanted to see.
OSQA – Liverpool City CentreThis venue spoils itself at the end of the night when the two bouncers come in and demand everyone leaves "now!". You are not asked to leave, you are TOLD to leave in a very unfriendly and threatening manner. Non of out party will return again.
Blundell Street Supper Club – Liverpool City CentreThe service at Pushka was relaxed to say the least; we waited an hour and a half following starters, it was nearly mid-night before we got our main The waiter was very abrupt and looked like he was under the influence of SOMETHING. The whole experience is one that I would like to forget as it spoilt our night completely-very disappointed.
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreWe have been going there since it opened over 20 years ago. The staff make the meal special and the food is fantastic. They will always try and fit you in although sometimes there is a little wait but it is worth it. Groups can pre book as far as I know. The menu caters for all tastes and is mouthwatering every time. Well recommended!
Venezia Pizzeria – BirkenheadFantastic food and great service at a really low price.. It really is difficult to find anywhere else in Liverpool to match up to this place... Keep up the good work..
Elif – AigburthWent on Saturday 26/1/8 in a party of 8, We could not find fault anywhere. It was excellent. Fantastic food and atmosphere. Not exactly cheap but why should it be, you get what you pay for and this was quality
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreWe ate in the Tavern last night and it was probably one of the worst meals we have had in a long time. The starters weren't too bad - nachos and chorizo pancake, but the mains were terrible. I ordered the cajun red snapper off the specials and had to return it. It was watery and 'on the turn'. It was certainly worse for wear. My partner had the other special on the menu - a chicken dish which was microwaved to death. Won't be returning...you can sample higher quality cuisine, for a lot less in the area
Tavern Co – WavertreeWhile visiting the Holocaust exhibition I decided to give the try out the Eatery. I was amazed to see ALL the Food on offer was Homemade!{ a rarity these days!} It was a very busy place and the Staff were VERY polite, friendly{without being intrusive} and attentive. Which was lovely and made the meal enjoyable! The place itself is a niche in the Anglican Cathedral and has huge glass windows so you can enjoy the views. The meal was Hot.The Food was ALL fresh ingredients {only the Peas were from a tin}The Sunday Lunch was lovely and you get decent portions.Very reasonably priced, in fact one of the cheapest Sunday Lunches Iv ever had in Liverpool or Wirral and one of the most enjoyable! Highly Recommend! If you haven't been there go now and see for yourself. 10/10
The Welsford – Liverpool City CentreThe Quarter was recommended by a number of people and so I was looking forward to a good night. On arrival the table booked was shoehorned next to the service counter but was just about bareable for a cosy restaurant. Starters were fine. The main arrived - the lasagne - it was slightly burnt. On pointing this out to the serving waitress, her response was, "that's how it's supposed to be" - I've never heard such nonsense! A chef should not allow burnt (and I mean black carbon) food to go out and the waitress should be able to make a more considered evaluation of the quality of the food in her hand and understand the customer's complaint!
The Quarter – Liverpool City CentreVisited Il Forno on Friday after a friend suggested we eat there. I wasn't disappointed with the food, £10.95 for starter of Scallops and Main Meal of Italian Sausages with Polenta (although to be honest if you didn't want pasta or pizza for a main course I though the starters selection was better!). I can't comment on the atmosphere as it was a very late lunch and the place was empty but we loved the pizza oven.
