King Wah Restaurant – HeswallThis is were I went on a 1st date 4 years ago.... and now we're married!!
Forge Brasserie – SouthportI was told about this place by a friend and didn't expect too much as I usually go into town, but was more than surprised and delighted to find it was all she talked about and more. It's a bit smaller than I'm used to but that makes it feel really cosy and the people who go there seem friendlier than in town. It seems like an older crowd (I went on a Friday night) but this is probably what makes it a bit classier. Highly recommended
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley HillThis classy little joint - the best thing is that there's no pretentiousness in here, which can't be said of certain other local bars, which seem to be full of arrogant orange 'wannabes'! The staff are professional without going overboard with the sirs and madams you get in some places. which just sounds forced. Service is fast and efficient (it's all we ask for innnit) and the food comes out quite nicely presented & tastes great. I've recommended to a few mates and they've always come back with positive comments. Try it out yourself I'd say. The only negative point is that it gats jam packed at the weekends, but then, isn? that a sign of a popular place!!
Schmooze Wine Bar and Eatery – Mossley Hillabsolutely fantastic! a wonderful atmosphere, gorgeous food with such full flavours! chefs, staff and ambience exquisite
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreThe food was lovely, however there wasn't much of a choice.
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreTakes restaurants on the Wirral into a different class. Superb food, good service and a great atmosphere. Easily the equal of many Michelin-starred restaurants I've eaten in, so expect a star soon.
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonGreat for parties! They cater for everyone? needs and the service was excellent! Overall it has a great authentic, Indian atmosphere!
A Passage To India – Liverpool City CentreBest Chinese food I've had - All cooked to perfection!
Fung Lok – Mossley HillAbsolutely fantastic restaurant, can't fault anything about it! Definitely my favourite place in Liverpool.
Tavern Co – WavertreeI was very impressed with the enormous selection of dishes on the menu; there was certainly something for everyone. We were well looked after from start to finish. We'll definitely be going again...and again!
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreVery fine South Indian cuisine, of which the whole menu consists. The banquets are an especially good introduction to the style of food, cooked with water rather than ghee, and spicy more than fierce. An excellent addition to the local Indian scene.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreVery good, after being very disappointed by the majority of Indian cuisine in Merseyside I came across Sugarvine and have since checked out millon and Uni, both are excellent restaurants. Uni is very cosy for couples and serve really excellent food, a wide range and modestly priced. I have only been once but on that occasion the service was good, not excellent. It was prompt enough but perhaps lacking in friendliness. Go to this restaurant if you like good Indian food, you will not be disappointed.
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreHad a nice meal here before the theatre. The early evening prix fixes menu is very good although, of course, the choice has some limitations. There is a buzzy atmosphere which I find a bit noisy, but I thank many people would like it.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreAlthough the food was very good, the attitude of staff was not as helpful as I would have liked considering high cost of food - more flexibility needed
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonGreat food, very cheap with big portions
Tess Riley’s – Liverpool City CentreExcellent service with good quality fresh food cooked at your table. A very comfortable and relaxed bar area where you can go following your meal. Overall a wonderful night out
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely superb. The sea bass and swordfish dishes were stupendous. I had mussels to start and my wife had asparagus, both excellent. Beautiful wine and Irish coffees to finish I can? wait to go back.
