Very good delicious food and service. Quite busy for a Wednesday but not too busy. Was sat in the corner which was good - hard to read the menu but far enough from loud middle aged ladies. And dessert was brought with a a candle which was a nice touch for my husband's birthday. Never had a bad experience here.

Staff and food faultless...Will defo be one of my locals.

Food was nice, staff were friendly and good atmosphere, but this restaurant charges premium prices for a less than premium feel. Menus were dirty and ripped from previous use, service was painfully slow, portions were tasty but not large and we were shocked to see the final bill come to so much considering the general more friendly vibe of the restaurant.

Great food and attentive service - the set shared tapas selections are excellent and plentiful and we all enjoyed the sangria.

We had our wedding anniversary dinner here. Everything including food, wine, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Staff is super friendly and good was stunning. We were advised on the best wine selection for each course. We will definitely get back.

I have been here a few times, it's consistently good, never had a bad meal. Fish is delicious and fresh, I had scallops and monkfish both beautifully presented and very tasty. The service was very good, lovely atmosphere. They overheard it was my birthday and gave me a dessert on the house.

Had a great first experience at Matthews Kitchen after a friend’s recommendation. The restaurant was busy on a Tuesday, the service was excellent. We had a few cocktails happy hours delicious. My seabass was cooked to perfection, and my partner’s lobster linguine was delicious. Generous portions and a great atmosphere—will definitely be back!

Visited here a coupe of times, it's now my wife's favourite tapas spot. The food is always delicious, the service impeccable. Perfect for a decent dinner, but definitely a treat spot, as Central London prices.

I had an amazing time at Matthews Kitchen! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was absolutely fresh and cooked to perfection. Every detail, from the presentation to the flavors, was spot on. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on all fronts, but Matthews Kitchen does just that. A truly fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality seafood and a great dining atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Ate late Saturday evening when the place was very quiet. Food and service good. Worked out at £50 a head for paella, tapas and half a bottle of wine each, so not bad for central London.
