East End Arms – LymingtonThis is the second time I have tried the East End Arms as had such a poor experience the first time. Unfortunately I won’t be going back. I had the fish and chips and the food was good. However the restaurant is devoid of atmosphere, especially as it gets past 8.30 and the more senior clientele leave. We went for a nightcap into the bar at just gone 9pm and it was empty despite it being a Friday night. A little later they told us they were closing in 10 minutes when we hadn’t even heard a last orders call. Our evening ended sitting outside a lights out pub in the cold waiting for an earlier lift home than anticipated!
East End Arms – LymingtonA friendly, local pub on the edge of many local walks. Sunday lunch was beautifully cooked in warm surroundings. We will come again.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonHad a lovely evening at the East End Arms. The staff were super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Good value too. Will certainly visit again when we are next in the area.
East End Arms – LymingtonWe have been attending this establishment for over 20 years. We know the management has changed several times during that period with subsequent changes in standards, but to say that we were disappointed yesterday is an understatement. The roasts were overcooked, dry and rubbery. The beef was by no means rare and was difficult to chew. We were the only ones eating and now we know why.
The Townhouse – LymingtonWe loved the east end arms , locals welcome and great food . The fish and chips fresh and delicious. Our waitress Honor so pleasant helpful and friendly.
East End Arms – LymingtonWe eaten twice here recently and have enjoyed our meals on both occasions. The service and staff are excellent . The food although a bit on the pricey side is still very good. We’ve also eaten at other new forest pubs but the East End Arms has become our go to pub
East End Arms – LymingtonWe have eaten here before and was fantastic. We ate here Friday. The mixed grill was delicious and cooked to perfection. We are booked in for Easter Sunday tomorrow
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonA birthday dinner for my husband . Food was delicious we went for a variety of small plates . It was the service and interaction with ) presumably the owner / manager ) that made all the difference. We had such fun banter & were made to feel very special indeed , Thank you so much .
The Townhouse – LymingtonWe went for Sunday lunch with visiting guests from overseas. Reception upon arrival was attentive and jovial. Seated immediately. Had a variety of waiting staff attend to us for drinks and meal order. Later on when more tables in the service was a little more delayed but still friendly. We had the roast beef roast dinners which was was excellent and loads on the plate. Would have liked to have known if they offered a child's portion for one of our senior guests as couldn't finish this portion. Disappointed that they did not gave any brandy in stock at the bar. Staff was very apologetic and happy the offer other suggestions. Overall it was an enjoyable lunch out in the New Forest. We will recommend and come back again as the weather warms up.
East End Arms – LymingtonEverything worked beautifully
East End Arms – LymingtonExcellent as always. Friendly and helpful staff together with wonderful tasty food - the creamy garlic mushrooms were a level above- made our outing with my mum a very memorable lunchtime treat. Thank you
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonExcellent meal on a Thursday evening in a pretty busy restaurant and great breakfast the next morning. The staff were extremely good on both occasions. I would recommend. This is the second time we have visited and stayed over and the previous time was good too. The bar in the pub had a very busy and cheerful / noisy atmosphere early evening which we enjoyed.
East End Arms – LymingtonAlways a friendly welcome and helpful staff with excellent food and service
The Chequers Inn – Lymingtonfabulous food - the burgers were delicious. staff super lovely and polite and a great atmosphere. The fact that is was full on a Tuesday night says it all. Book ahead and enjoy.
East End Arms – LymingtonWarm friendly and attentive service and good food and beer.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWe are new to the area and delighted to find a great Pub within walking distance from our home!! We were made to feel very welcome by DC and was very impressed with what you have to offer re entertainment etc., Food excellent . So our local that’s for sure. Thank you
The Townhouse – LymingtonAlways love coming here. Venue is fab and the sun was shining. Sadly for us this time for a family Birthday the service was a little poor due to few staff and had to ask for coffee. The lady who served us was rushed off her feet. We weren’t even offered dessert. A little soulless this time with awkward silences in the restaurant and needed some background music. A shame when showcasing it to visitors. Food was good for some and not much flavour or gritty for others.
