Although it was very quiet on a wet, winter, tuesday evening, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was good and the service excellent. We will definitely return.

The Townhouse – LymingtonDelightful afternoon at the EEA, food and service both excellent.
East End Arms – LymingtonWe held my wife’s surprise 60th birthday party here and it was amazing. I had 3 incidents of contact and planning over 6 months leading to the event and DC could not have been anymore helpful, accommodating and friendly. DC went out of his way to help us plan the event, booked the whole of the restaurant area out for the whole day for us so we could set up with balloons, banners and bring a cake. He was extremely flexible around adjusting the buffet to suit all tastes, including a Vegan and one with Gluten intolerance. He was happy to add items and to put a pre-paid tab behind the bar so guests had free drinks. Overall the whole experience was amazing, he could not do enough to make sure Bev’s party went well and he also dedicated himself to serve us for the evening. The food and drinks were also of a very high standard and the prices were extremely reasonable. Overall, 10/10. Highly recommended.
The Townhouse – LymingtonHaving previously enjoyed meals at the East End Arms, we invited friends to join us for a meal there on Saturday evening. On arrival we were immediately given an apology that the restaurant was about to close for a holiday break and the menu was restricted, and this proved to be true. The menu appeared more limited than I remembered and we were also informed that certain dishes on the menu were no longer available. When the meals arrived in some respects it also appeared that they were running out of supplies. The quantities of food also seemed to be rather restricted - very few vegetables. Also whereas our bookng was for 7.30, it transpired we were the last booking on that night, and it seemed all along that the staff were keen to get us to place our orders and get us served and out of the door. All in all whereas we were hoping to impress our friends as it was their first time there, I rather suspect they will not be rushing back.
East End Arms – LymingtonWe had a lovely meal on Sunday. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The staff are lovely, so welcoming. Will definitely be going again.

The Townhouse – LymingtonWe went for dinnerNew Years Eve with family and were met as ever with a friendly welcome to the pub. All the meals were excellent, great value for money and service was efficient and unobtrusive. Would recommend, when we are down visiting the family its our go to. If we lived it would be our regular pub as the beers great too.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWe had a lunch on Wednesday. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 1pm The meal was very enjoyable and service was very good. The only downside was a gentleman sat in the restaurant, presumably a member of staff who was sorting the shifts etc to cover the pub/restaurant for the next couple of days. The conversation wasn’t quiet and a bit offensive at one point. It didn’t spoil our meal but it would have been better not to have listened to him. It finished when a large table had to be served!!
East End Arms – LymingtonA lovely busy, buzzy atmosphere yesterday lunchtime, yet the girls coped brilliantly. Smiling, obliging and making sure everyone was attended to. Certainly our favourite- never disappointed - a true country pub. Cheers all and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonLovely old pub. Very cosy atmosphere, and busy over the Twixmas period. Accommodating our same day booking (thank you!). Lively atmosphere. Busy bar with outdoor covered seating. Our party had the burger ("excellent"), homemade chili con carne ("very flavourful, generous portion), and tuna baguette (" fresh, with tasty salad"). Recommend if you are in the area!
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonA lovely Sunday lunch here. All food was delicious and would heartily recommend. Staff were friendly and attentive
East End Arms – LymingtonVery enjoyable lunch. Good service and pleasant staff. Very good value
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWe happened upon Chequers Inn whilst on a pre planned circular walk. We had a very enjoyable hot drink and quick lunch. Our next visit was little more organised. We booked an indoor table and arranged our walk so that the pub was halfway round. We were pleasantly greeted, given a lovely table near to the wood stove fire. Our lunch we choose was well presented and arrived timely despite the pub being very busy. Excellent choices on the menu and reasonable prices
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonThis was our first time visiting the East End Arms and we were very impressed. Lovely location, the food and service were excellent. Looking forward to a return visit.
