Excellent! The taste and flavour of the curries produced here is something else. I don't know what it is they do but the food served here is the best of its kind I have tasted. I have been to many similar restaurants in Manchester, however for food alone Tandoori Flame is head and shoulders above the rest.

I ama little baffled by the positive reviews of the Horse and Jockey. I have eaten here twice (not sure why I returned for food) and the food really wasnt good - pretty tasteless. Also, the bill themselves as vegetarian friendly however when I visited once they did not have a single vegetarian sandwich and where unable to even offer a cheese sandwich! Further the service is painstakingly slow. I just dont understand why they continually fail on this. I think they need to employ more staff and staff with experience of working behind a busy bar. Nobody ever has a sense of urgency about them no matter how many people are queuing at the bar. Its such a shame because the venue is lovely. This place has so much potential it just lets go to waste.

We found this restaurant to be welcoming and conveniently situated just off the center of Stalybridge. It has a warm and intimate quality to it and the food is delicious and very well priced. After eating here a week ago we were left with a desire to eat the food again and I think we might need to now buy shares in the business as we think it may well become one of our favorites haunts. You will not be disappointed and I wish we could have found it sooner.

I thought the service was good, the food was lovely as were the staff, I really enjoyed it. The mood and atmosphere was great and I would definitely recommend the Royal Oak to freinds and family and will be sure to visit again soon :) x

Took my wife last night , was very pleased with the steak I had but the sauce I ordered mushroom was gravy with 2 tiny pieces of mushroom. My wife ordered pepper sauce which was gravy again which does not compliment a good steak. I am a chef and I know what pepper sauce should be like and what a mushroom sauce should be like.

Absolutely amazing! Great stuff, home made dishes, good quality, very friendly staff. We loved it!! Great place to chill out on Sunday afternoon or catch up with friends on a weekday as well as have a drink with work mates on Friday night!! Good luck and see you again soon!

We visited this restaurant last saturday evening - it was packed at 8.30, so this evening we arrived at 7pm and were seated immediately.On both occasions we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be back very soon. Service was first class and very friendly.no wonder it's busy!

The food is always so lovely but unfortunately Rodney's attitude is not good if a customer happens to have a little complaint - which happened the last time we went (it was not us who was complaining) but the customer was appalled. It wont stop me going though.

Shocking and embarrassing!! Had lunch there - what a palaver!! Our party were given two different menus and subsequently ordered different things from each menu, as you might expect. Only to be told, after we had ordered, that the people who ordered from one menu had to sit in a different area to the people who had ordered from the other menu. Needless to say I wont be going back and won't be recommending to friends, colleagues or clients!
