First impressions of Ambiente were good, the restaurant itself authentically decorated and quite comfortable. The staff are polite and friendly. There are plenty of corners to sit and there is a warm fire place too. The tapas served were very nice, we also ordered the meat Paella. The Chorizo tapas was excellent. I thought the paella was average and I've had better at other restaurants, although I like mine with a bit of crispy rice which isn't to everybody's taste. The only downside to the restaurant was the price, at least £15 for 1 portion of Paella. The prices had since gone up, which are different from the website menus.

I had a reservation 5.30 Saturday evening, December 6th. Got there at 5.30 on the dot, place full downstairs. People in front being told they will have to wait 15 mins and told to go to bar for a drink. I said I had a reservation but they said my table was not raedy for 15 mins and to go to bar. I did not want a drink at the packed bar so waited by entrance. Afetr 2 or 3 minutes we were taken upstairs and all of the tables were empty!. I feel as though we were told to go to the bar only so as to get us to spend more money! After ordering food, waited 30 minutes for starter - just tapas. Then waited another half an hour for the amin courses to arrive. Apparently not enough staff in the kitchen to handle a full restaurant. The main courses were OK but only OK. I would say stick to the tapas and not go for the main courses. Out of 10, i would give the experience 2.

Hi we had a a fantastic meal on christmas eve . The menu was brilliant.

Very disappointing recently. Used to be a regular but the standard of service and quality of food has been slowly getting worse. After the last visit one of our party was given a meat dish, after checking that it was the veggie option he had ordered, and being told it was, he tucked in.....to a chicken rogan josh! This was the final straw for me!

Visited Loch Fyne Didsbury Xmas Eve 24 December for a birthday celebration and the meal was absolutely terrible. Restaurant was understaffed had to wait ages for drinks etc. Food was even worse. Ordered a £44 sea food platter "hot and cold", all of which was cold except for the under-cooked mussels. The shellfish was tasteless and of the same consistency as rubber. It seemed some of the shell fish was thawed quickly as the shells were limp and the flesh soggy. Prawns, langoustines and crayfish all had eggs on their underbelly and scallops where still frozen. For an establishment that 'specializes' in seafood I find this unacceptable. We did complain and received a free basic desert but after spending in excess of £140 on food and 1 bottle of wine this was simply not good enough and went home still starving as did not eat the egg laden shellfish. It seems this establishment is just another low quality chain restaurant.

I had the 2nd Set menu here, the starters were very nice and the seafood salad was very spicy and very nice, though I found the main courses were more akin to Chinese cuisine than thai, also the Beef Green Curry was extremely salty.

me and my girlfriend have been and ordered many dishes off the dilshad menu and love everything we have eaten... they do the best peshwari naan i have ever tasted and the staff are second to none... i would recommend anyone to try and keep this the best place you can get a curry in moston... a place like this deserves to be noticed!!!

I visited this restaurant on a first date! I had never tasted thai food previously. It was a lovely cosy warm authentic place, the food was absolutely fabulous, the company wasn't so bad either! The staff were very accommodating and friendly without being pushy and overpowering! I would definitely eat there again, especially if I manage to fix a second date!

We went to the Olive Garden 3rd January,we didn't know what to expect and was greeted with a very full restaurant. Unfortunately there was no where to park so we had to park on the road but it was worth it. All the staff are very friendly,the place is clean and bright. We ordered and was taken to our table,the food was fresh and delicious. The pizza's are so thin and crisipy,but very big for just one person. The staff really know how to make someones special day special as a few people were encouraged to stand on the table and dance. We will definitely be going back very soon,I booking for Valentines day now as it was very busy when we went so maybe you should book well in advance. The prices where very reasonable.There are a lot of vegetarian option and it must be one of the best Italian restaurants around.

We have been going to the Indian Ocean for many years and it really is the best in the north west!We went on New years Eve with some friends and we had a fabulous night-the food as usual was excellent,the service first class,entertainment very good and the fireworks were fantastic-well done Indian Ocean!!Happy New Year to you all!!x

The worst place I have ever eaten. The food took over an hour, the main courses were a joke which I would not have even served to a dog! Even when we complained about the food there was no apology from the manager. The owner of this place should be ashamed!

there is a wonderful atmosphere in the main restaurant, with the trompe l'oeil effect adding to the "foreign holiday" effect. The food is always excellent and plentiful,( the meatballs special was to die for). This is a far superior restaurant to the other "italian" in Westhoughton which is cramped, small dull portions of poor quality and only slightly cheaper. I love everything about La Scala. I can never eat the starter and all the main course but they happily package it up to take home

Ate here with eleven people between Christmas and New Year. Everybody, including myself, thought the food was top notch. I didn't have any myself but, the seabass seemed to be the most popular dish. I had the Vegetable Samosas and the Green Curry and they were both superb. Will definitely visit again soon.

I started going to Happy Seasons in 1983! I know it is the best because I love my food and travel a long way to get there. I not only eat in but more often than not get a takeout. Everyone knows you can get your £4.50 sweet and sour chicken and rice extra from any chinese takeaway but the quality at HS is second to none. Please don't just believe what I say, try it and you won't go anywhere else..

This restaurant works. It is clinical the staff are welcoming and the pizzas are loaded. I had the Asian Chicken Pizza and it was the best i have had in any pizza restaurant. Nice little bar next door as well. Keep up the good work.

We are regulars at Bowerfold Spice, would not go anywhere else. Food, service and ambience all excellent. We are always greeted with a smile and a handshake and the staff are a brilliant - nothing is too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I am from Glasgow & was visiting Manchester in September and ate at Nawaab's. Enjoyed the food so much that I drove the 540 mile round trip again in November with a friend and enjoyed it even more. Am planning on doing the same in Jan / Feb 09 and this time I'm bringing the family too. Bagpipes at the ready!!!

I have eaten at the Beeches Restaurant for the last ten years it is my absolute favourite. The food is consistently excellent and is always good value. I never manage a dessert as the portions are very generous. I have taken many of my friends who have all been impressed.
