I was inspired to visit by a review that described the food as "bonsai" in style - i.e. perfect miniatures. I was delighted by the menu that you can order many (or few) dishes that you like to selfishly devour or share amongst you. It may be difficult to share the "mini cheese-burger" though (two mouthfuls - tops). There seem to be no obvious starters or main courses inviting a comparison to multi-nation tapas (pan-Asian, Mancunian and American but bigger than a tapas dish). It means that you invariably have space for a dessert (and what a wonderful choice of "bonsai" desserts!). The wine list is miniscule and unadventurous; the champagne collection is pretentious, but the cocktails are extremely impressive. You can just go and drink and pose without eating. The ambience is a combination of "sex in the city" and "footballers' wives". I liked it - a lot.

I loved rigalettos. I think that they do a great lasagne!

Absolutely first class in every respect! The selection of their own wines imported from Spain was wonderful and we were offered 5 to sample to help select a bottle. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will most definitely be returning!

Consistency is the key to Croma... I have eaten there more than 20 times - and never had a bad meal. Very reasonably priced, superb pizzas (with fantastic 'specials') and good service. Good luck with your new ventures!

Good, cheap eats in a pleasant atmosphere in Fallowfield. Food not exceptional, but very decent. Also open until 12am most nights, so a good alternative to take-away food on your way home....

First time for a long time that I have been to a Thai restaurant but this was one that I would go back to again and again. The menu choice is superb with plenty of variety for even the pickiest diner (I took along one of those and even she found plenty of tantalising choices) Service was second to none including an annoying diner on the next table to us who was efficiently despatched from the restaurant with minimal fuss. The surroundings are very contemporary without being bland. We went for individual menu options instead of a set banquet to take full advantage of the wide variety of dishes but this was reflected in the price - but I always think that its better to pay more for something you enjoy than less for something you don?! Whatever the occasion I am sure this establishment will exceed your expectations. I will be back to sample the Chinese restaurant downstairs.

I shared the crispy duck and pancakes and it was really good. Waitress was very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

The best food in Salford by far!

Really enjoy eating out here, the food is full of taste and the service isn? bad, there seem to be to many staff and not much organisation but the food is great and I don? mind waiting in such a modern, well designed place! Not your usual boozy curry house.

Bistro 156 is a great little restaurant. It offers a short menu of well presented, superbly cooked dishes which are excellent value for money. The set menu is exceptional value for money and the service is relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.

I love Puccini?! Six of us went for a birthday meal, the food is really tasty, wide choice and the service is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. The prices vary from usual seven quid main to seventeen quid special, but the mixed fish platter is worth it! My partner and I have since returned many times, and recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a fantastic meal with great service, and who isn't!

Fantastic, the first time I?e been and all I can say its a shame I haven? been sooner. The food was outstanding, the service and knowledge of the young staff the same. I would gladly recommend trying (try the black pudding) wow

We went to Aladdin on 12/5/05 as we had family over from Venezuela and some of our party of 8 had been here before. The area is OK and has on street parking. The food was fab - just what we wanted and the staff were very obliging. (My only criticism is that the music was too loud and you couldn't hear the people you were with talking very well). We would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Here is a light that will never go out..... Brilliant restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, fantastic wines and bottled Timothy Taylor's Landlord. What more can I say? Except that it's jazz night on Tuesday and the waitresses (and waiters) are all fab.

I love the Kush and think the food is amazing. Everyone has their favourite curry place and this is mine. It can't be beaten.

Food was really good but service was a bit lacking in attention. This seems to be a general theme through the years with Jem and I.

We visited jem and I for Sunday lunch. On arrival, the waitress literally threw us to our table, which incidentally was so close to another table, it felt like we were one big happy family. The food itself was fantastic and great value for money. The service remained the same throughout the meal; the waiting staff seemed disinterested and in no hurry to make us feel welcome. In fact, we were made to feel like we were putting the waitress out of her way by ordering drinks! Tables were crammed which was disappointing. However, the food itself was outstanding and for the price (£14) we cannot grumble. In summary, wonderful food, shame the staff don? share the same ethos.
